Sylvanas is more knowledgeable of the situation but asks Lor'themar of what the plan should be and he replies with a no brainer: "destroy all enemy forces". In the first cinematic map, scenes change too fast making things look more like a flashback...

Hello , so I watched all of these cinematics and I have a few thoughts:

Terraining could be improved a lot, it's a cinematic after all. You can find some help here or here.

About the story, undead should have some reason to attack the elves, it would make things more interesting, maybe something like using the Sunwell to summon a powerful demon. And why do forest trolls suddenly decide to help elves, aren't they sworn enemies? I think both races have too much pride to forget about everything between them, even in front of big and scary undead and that makes space for another plot you can think of yourself.

You should also put these maps together into a campaign and make them load one after another.

I suggest putting them all in one campaign file (.w3n) if they are related.
Having a playable map but without an AI if it is needed, renders the map not functional.

I'll be waiting for you to finish the series first before I review.

Updated, should I put campaign in the tag?
There is no AI, but units will spawn and attack each other.

  3. Villagers could do something than just stand idly.
  4. Terrain could be improved.
  5. Cinematic maps should not end in victory. Well, it helps if you want to quit earlier though. Funny thing is that the player is undead. However the score screen should not appear.
  6. Sylvanas, Mal'Ganis. Alternate universe? I don't quite understand what's going on apart from them trying to get Silvermoon back by battling around the city.
  7. Who starts a campfire in the middle of the road?
  8. Why would the Spell Breaker try talking to the undead and telling them to halt?
  9. Attack+Move; no choreography; units just clutter to the region they are ordered to and then stand idly there after they finish their job.
  10. I think you could have done this in one map instead of fragmenting it so.
  11. Maps start with transmissions instead of waiting a little so some of them end too quickly or won't be properly read.
  12. Trolls helping them makes little sense.
  13. During cinematic mode there should be no shop Select Hero arrow.
  14. So, the last map is actually a playable one? That's weird.
Well, generally, it's too simple, sadly.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
