ChessTileUpdate.blp

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
A chess tile made 100% by me.

-Info : Made it for Chess map made edges of the tile wood cause it was only element that fitted to it. They may look strange cause they are pretty symmethric.

Please give me mention my name if you use this resource.

Update - Increased Shadowing and removed yellow edges from "playing" squares.

M0rbid: A solid start, however as some users already mentioned, this tile so far misses definition and depth, a more intense shading and a better work on the materials (tutorial: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/2d-art-tutorials-281/mr-goblins-tutorial-110127/) are needed to finish of this idea.
I will have to reject this skin until you reworked those things.

This looks great, but still needs some improvement, as the others said... But i still think it's very useful indeed for some chess minigames and such maps (i wanted to make one :D)
WEll, my suggestions are to give more shading to the white squares and give more wood feeling to the corners and also they look a bit... flat, maybe adding some shadows will help?
Well, i'd give 4/5 and +2 rep, and i would vote for approval if i could :D

As I said the size of the wood is so small that I can not add "wood definition" and also cause I am not that skilled... Like I think there is 10 pixels space in there and I can´t make a wood definition to there. And about flatness I tried to make blanks or something but because the size of the tiles it can not make it symmethric. I will think about choices which I could make to it and then I´ll select best one.

Well, as you can read in some texturing tutorials, never use pure white or pure black. in this case, you used almost pure white, which also isn't good. maybe you should darken the white squares to make the highlights more visible... and i said about the shadings, hope you can make it ;)
Also, there is no problem about the wooden part, it looks fine like that if you ask me, enough for approval. If you look at a real chess table, they look really simmilar with yours, so no problemo. Also i like the idea with these C - balls with ropes, whatever they are :D
Hope you're making progress, i'm sure you'll be a great texturer one day ;)
Happy texturing :)

Hah. I haven´t read about not using pure white or black ;D well I neither did there is abit yellow in it and not the most bright. I just don´t use the brightest color in the highlights neither ;D

And about the "C-balls" don´t ask me what they are ;D;D;D.
