Cherryville Chaos

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Cherryville Chaos is an altered melee map. At the beginning of each game, Player 1 will select what number of rules will be enabled. Then that many (out of currently 17) will be chosen to influence the game. A description of each rule is in the quest log.

Rules
1:Heightened Tech-Basic damage& armor upgrades go to 15. Each race also has 2 techs that go up to level 5.
Human:Long Rifles & Animal War Training
Orc:Berserker Strength & Troll Regeneration
Undead:Ghoul Frenzy & Skeletal Longevity
Night Elf:Improved Bows & Upgrade Moon Glaive

2: Death Spawn-Killing a non-mechanical unit results in a permanent minion under the killers control.

3:No Hero Cap-Hero max level set to 10,000

4:Free Workers-Peons, Peasants, Wisps, and Acolytes cost 0 food. Player still needs 1 food free to train the worker.

5:Thunderstorm-Lightning bolts randomly strike the map, dealing damage to nearby units and buildings.

6:Guardian Angel-At noon, all units receive healing.

7:Midnight Curse- At midnight, all units receive damage.

8:COMMUNISM!-At Dawn and Dusk, the gold of all players is summed together and divided evenly. A 1% bonus of the total is added. The same happens for lumber.

9:Lost Lich-After being killed and midnight passes, if someone enters his territory(Glowing blue ground), they will be instantly killed, and he will revive. He grows stronger with each resurrection.

10:Shake out your pockets-If a unit is killed, and the killer is not on the same side as the dying unit, there is a chance for a random item to drop.

11:Stackable Items-There are 4 new items that can be bought from shops at the north and south ends of the river. They increase the main hero stats, and movement speed. They only improve the stats by a small amount, but can be stacked without limit.
Note: Units with backpack don't trigger the stacking effect.

12:King Midas-A neutral unit that will wander the map. If a unit gets too close, he will use a stomp ability dealing major damage. If this kills the unit, it has a chance to drop gold coins. He wanders away after using the ability, but returns to the center of the map after a while.

13:Cursed Orb-The cursed orb damages all units on its half of the map approximately every 120 second; this happens if the orb is on the ground or not. It deals 25 damage to units, and sets their mana to 20%. Structures lose 10% of their current life.
When picked up, the item will cast chain lightning on the hero every 30 seconds. The orb cannot be dropped.

14:One Ring-A ring that grants permanent invisibility and true sight, but the wearer will have to deal with the Nazgul. Can not be dropped on purpose, but is dropped on death. The Nazgul disappear after some time if no one is holding the Ring.
Note:Nazgul initially only intend to attack the ring bearer, but if they are interrupted, they will probably just start attacking everything near them. As they are permanently invisible and deal major damage, they tend to wreak havoc. They spawn in the top right corner.

15:Grab Bag-Simple effects that happen every 45 seconds.
Inversion:Swaps a unit's current mana and health.
Balance: Averages a unit's current mana and health
Power Sacrifice: Unit loses life equal to its missing mana, regains mana in a 1:1 ratio. If this kills the unit, it explodes. Area and damage dealt by the explosion are proportional to the unit's maximum mana.
Siphon Life: Damaged unit drains life from those around it; possibly killing the other units, and regaining full health.
Regrowth: Up to 20 destructibles resurrect

16: Unstable Form- 1/2000 chance that when attacked a unit will transform into another unit type that already exists on the map. Does not affect heroes.

17: Crazeelixer- An item that resets the level of the hero, but increases their base stats by their current level, and increases experience rate gain. Must be Level 10 or higher to use.

Update 1:
-Disabled quests will be marked as Failed in the quest Log
-Credits added

Update 2:
-Rule 15 Expanded
-Rules 16&17 added
-Possible leaks cleaned up
-Standard Races all have elevated hero abilities now (15 for regular, 5 for Ultimates)

Sounds like a good map in paper, although the description needs a revamp and an extension, you could for example describe each rule in the description. The fact that game rules are chosen by one player and that that player can't see which rules are being set is quite bad if you ask me, maybe make it a vote system? Also, people should know what they are picking.
I also think that more screenshots could be used, specially ones that show the rules picked at the start in action.

Set to Awaiting update

Always check/recheck the Map Submission Rules! (Map Submission Rules)

These will help make a better description:

Screenshots could attract more players to download your work. Make the best of them.

A credits list is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated.

A changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.

While I haven't tested it ingame, most of those addons seem pretty annoying for a normal game, specially the no hero cap (which might break the game if somebody somehow manages to get to very high level; 50 and beyond already) the free workers, the minions for killing a unit, all the damages and insta kill and communism, specially this last one, because of what can be done if you share resource, use all your resources and wait for the extra resources to come.

I actually dont quit understand the map at first but it seems this map is non-understandable could use some work on the discription maybe you could put some instruction clearly rules seems broken and put a change log so we will know what has been updated.Could work more with the items.

Rated the map 0/5

Put some screenshots to influence players to play your map.Fix the discription, put a credits list all of that and a change log so we will know what are the changes that you have made.

Overall the map look overrided and stuff like that I recommend you to follow @Paillans ideas.Keep up the good work!

This map sounded like it might be fun (or it might just be ridiculously game-broken, depending on which rules got picked) but unfortunately when I played it, none of the chaos rules ended up working :(

I selected one of the middle options for chaos level, I think it might have been 7? but all of the rules ended up being marked as "failed".

The underlying map was still a reasonable Melee play, but I imagine it's a pre-existing Blizzard map that was built on top of?
