Chaos Spirit Gateway

This is Chaos Spirit Gateway for Chaos Orcs or Demons. Model based on Demon Gate model.
No matter if you give me credit or not, but: Enjoy !!!

Fixed in 3.Februar.2009:
Removed those runes.
Added new big black skull! (Demons decide to improve appearance of building to look more scary and stronger!)
Now you have both evil cool skull and evil cool sharp spikes!

- Remove those symbol geosets as they still show up a bit ingame (and remove their corresponding Geoset Animations as well).
- I noticed the towers aren't Two-Sided, please fix that via the Material Manager.

Short comment: (Since I'm not so good at model reviewing :p)

Pros
- Very small size
- Useful in any orc/chaos/evil race
- Has a fitting icon
- Reminds me of Warcraft II and its magic
- Skull looks nice

Cons
- Looks a bit flatened
- The things holding the skull look bad
- A bit too red

Overall a very useful resource, with a small size that can fit any map, meaning a 3/5 is more then a decent grade.

haha I used that skull from spell. In Magos MPQ browser go and open War3.mpq, and go to Abilities > Spells > Others > AnsA and there you will find both target and sac skull texure. Export it and import to your model. And set up material manager using this texture, geoset manager and that's it! But skull will looks small and in wrong place and in wrong rotation! So you have to use Magos Model Editor and select all skull points, then you need whole day to resieze, to reverse. So I went to GF's model to try some peraemtres in order to get my skull at middle! Then I had again to resize it to get bigger and such. And it take me whole day! Just that skull. Frank made that very shortly! I tried to look like his but seems its not same, because my skull doesn't look straigh, it looks at angle! But not natter at least!

Very interesting, like the changes now :grin:. This gave me an idea of how I could use this. I'll definitely be using it thx, but I ain't telling you where, when and how am going to use it :xxd:.

Great model, but I think the front part looks square-ish, nice job adding the skull, the spikes are cool too, maybe you could add some more, a few smaller ones?
Would be cool to add horns to that skull thingy, for a alternate animation, then it would be kickass!

Anyway, 4/5, I appreciate your work, +rep
