Its done and usable I just would like to add the decay bones but I'm not sure how to do so can anyone help with this?

Also I'd like to say thank you to Elenai for seeing me through this project. It was a fun model to do and fairly simple. Please give credits if used.

Update: Head no longer grows huge when using spell animation. Fixed by dickxunder.

Update 2: Okay added sound effects and foot print effects to the model. Should work great now.

No no, im sure it was pretty much the exact model with grunt anims, but as i recall it was very buggy and not very well done. :/
Things like this are neat, take Dans bear for example (dunno if its still here) and other ones like this.
I wont dwell further though since ill just ramble on about modeling scratch benefits vs this benefits and etc though.

looks awesome, i'm pretty sure this is the first model you've made that isn't "animeish"

Nice job, but adding to wat General Frank said, a collission shape would be nice, some model are ok w/o it but well it somtyms will be either too hard to click in-game or the only thing that is clicked no matter were you click (disclaimer: no technical proof of this only by experience XD). ~_^

Very good work, a very decent model, worthy of approval :)
We do have another of these, but it's pretty buggy and was a poor effort in comparison to this one.

I lol'ed at the spell anim though.
Not like a grunt uses his spell animation at all though.

Now you've inspired me to extract another model and do the same for it :D
Doubt I'll get it this far though D;

Oh and, plus rep for that nice step by step "guide" let us call it you added to it, extremely helpful.

I know there were two Campaign Grunts model which got transfered from wc3sear.ch to this site, though they got rejected.
First one, because I think that it wasn't submitted by the original author.
Second one, because the animation transfer were poor according to Chiz. (former moderator). Though what I saw in that version is that it uses same animations as your version, except that the head did not inflate in spell anim.

Anway, fix the flaws that General Frank had mentioned, plus I would recommend that you set the materials to TwoSided.

That model was just a simple texture swap from the WoW Bear model, so I'm glad it got rejected. xD

Well the animations are probably similar because I just transferred the grunt animations like that person probably did.

If the head does that.. You should fix it.

I have no idea how to do so except by editing the animation itself which would be a pain. But when does a grunt ever use the spell animation? Mostly never. xD As it is now it may be good for a humorous map.

Okay I'll try adding one then.

Thanks. I lol'd at this. :xxd:

... The last time I tried something like this, people flamed me. I dunno why, but it seems to be that people hate me for unknown reasons and take their anger out on my work. Yet the next person that everyone likes, gets lots of good ratings and little to no flaming. :/ Meh, it happens to me everywhere D: And yet, they never say what about me they hate D:

Things I have to say:
- Good model, and your first non-anime one.
- Small filesize even though it's high quality.
- Actually, I think it's better if you credit Blizzard for making the model, all you did is exporting and optimizing.

Compare this to the regulare grunt unit. This is not one you mass, and lead to death.

So its more of an grunt Hero huh?

Hey and I had already linked to that on the other page why did you link to it?

upload the kewl head animation plox.

DevineArmy if you really want the one with the blown up head just pm me and I'll send it to you.

Really what did you do? I always tell you what I don't like about your models when I don't like them.

Lol yeah finally a warcraft model. XD I try to keep my models low file size. I was happy to see this one was the same. And Blizzard made the mesh and texture except for a few edits on the mesh.

lawl,i liked the head.

Not to be mean, but what exactly makes this "Campaign Screen Grunt" different from the other 50,000 on this site?

The death animation puts the orc underground.

I would rate this a 3/5 for originality, but this one is a little better. The only difference i see is the giant head animation is gone. I'd like it more if you took the texture and edited it to be teamcolored. Hope you make it a little more... unique.

I've already said that if this version is approved a team color version will be released.

Tc Preview:

Texture size is 6kb

Switching back helmet piece to hair as GF asked turned out ugly unless I reUv it which I personally like the extended helmet look:

orchair.jpg

It also has the issue of using the same material layer because I preffered it that way. >.> It'd be a pain to change and I personally wouldn't like it as much.

- A corpse would be nice

I'd like to know how to do that.
- Some geoset are just plain assigned and slash in some animations. Fix them.
What does this mean?
