I tried it in singleplayer once, and got a few comments for you.

- Some tooltips need more info: Basic Guard tower's crit just says you need the "Steelhead arrow" upgrade, but you need the 9th upgrade of it before they get crit. Also, it says they are weak come late game, whereas I found them to be really awesome once fully upgraded - for 10 gold each you can MASS them and put them just about everywhere.
Hippogriph archer doesn't tell you that it has a slowing attack (which was a good surprise, but would be good to know beforehand)
The Ancient Protecter has the Bash ability too, don't think that's stated in it's tooltip either.

- I think the Long range tower upgrade is expensive, I didn't manage to get them before like round ~14, and by then I had sold the few long range towers I had, but they are good once upgraded, just doesn't seem to be worth it imo.

- Poison towers are nice, especially because their slow stacks if a target is hit by two different towers - don't know if this is intended, but mobs slow down to just about no speed at all.

- Arcane towers being unable to hit infernals and the drakes was a bit annoying, but unless you only got arcane towers its not that bad, intended or not I dont know.

- I didn't get to try the hero sadly, but I bet she's much fun (I forgot about her because it took a lot of rounds before I ever had 1k spare gold, and by then I bought upgrades).

- I like the way you get wood, but it seemed like a problem to me at any time. I was always on top with wood, ending with about ~35 after buying the hero. I don't know if you run out later with more rounds though.

- Extended tooltips for the future maybe, displaying range (esp. this) and damage values, so people know if thats what they want, and they are sure they place them the right place.

- I bought one of the archers at some point, and it litteraly took me 10i'sh rounds before I ever found her. I know the tooltip says shes got blink and stuff, but I kept looking and looking for her, until I realised she's moving by foot and got stuck on the lil' platform, standing behind the "wood mushroom". :p

- Boss was cool, I liked the music addition - and almost had him killed, think he was down to about ~6k? I don't think I killed any of the Dreadlords that came sometimes in early rounds, but if I had played the map before I would probably have been able to do so, knowing about the towers and paths etc.

- Last, the terrain seems pretty big - the path thing they walk in is really big, but I suppose it's made for 8players and 2 each side, meaning it's not that big afterall. :p Mobs do move pretty slowly through though, and if you miss one it can take a really long time before it moves to the end.

Fun map overall, but pretty slow because it's huge path/maze/dontknowwhatitscalled, it probably needs to be more fast paced if you want more rounds and to be playable online, don't think people have enough patience for 4 times as many rounds.

EDIT: Okay I saw its meant for 4 players, too big a map then imo, but it's easily doable to cover both your "lanes"/whatever anyway.

I just tried the new version, and it's much better with all the new info in tooltips.

- The crit ability on the def. tower still says "steelhead arrow" instead of steelhead arrow lvl9, though it's in the info on the def. tower itself.

- I got to try the hero this time, and she's great. Good damage, but the cold arrow orb says it slows by 0% which doesn't seem to be true. When monsters got hit by it they were further slowed down.

- After buying her I got into a wood-starvation for a long time, but I always had too much gold. In the end I massed long range towers (probably made about a 100) but they didn't all get to shoot at all since I was around level 20 by then, but after round ~10 I was more in need of wood than gold - perhaps monsters should start giving it earlier than round 40, or the wisp could be speeded up every 5-10 rounds?

The 2nd boss is cool, but the demonic essence he spawned after he died twice isn't - I wasn't really prepared for a physical immune boss coming, and since everything died before they exit the "tunnel" they come from, I really didn't have many arcane/freezing towers, and by now the boss was also turning around the 2nd corner. I think a warning would be fair, to let people know that this boss and the round after with those lesser demonic essences, will be a bitch to complete without a good amount of magic dmg towers.

- I still couldn't get the first boss down, but this time he was left with a mere 1100 hp rather than 5-6k last time.

- One of the last rounds really took me by surprise and I didn't realise why, it was some of those heavily armored flesh golems or so, probably round 20-21? I'm not sure why but I leaked a lot of those, whereas all other rounds no monsters even got close to getting leaked.

- Maybe another option to get wood would be a "gold -> wood" option at the shop?

- Also, you most likely need to do something to speed this up a lot. I played about 1 hour, with having my towers close to entrance killing monsters as fast as possible, and I still took an hour to reach level 25. With 60 rounds thats more than 2 hours probably, for 8 people playing - that doesn't sound very likely to me at least. I think there's too much time between rounds to build new towers, 30 sec(?) isn't really needed.

I did this because if I added the word level 9, it will appear "Steelhead arrow level 9 - Level 9" when you place the mouse over the damage icon in the tower status.

- I got to try the hero this time, and she's great. Good damage, but the cold arrow orb says it slows by 0% which doesn't seem to be true. When monsters got hit by it they were further slowed down.
There seems a problem with custom objects in the Object Editor, I'll have to type the values my self instead of <A001:DataA1>.

- After buying her I got into a wood-starvation for a long time, but I always had too much gold. Don't worry about lumber; I'll add a neutral building to buy lumber with 5:1 buy price.

Well I intended to do this so you have to build more than one type. Also, as you said alot of Basic Defense Tower could kill anyone and that is the reason why I added this type of boss. And for the lesser ones; they will be defeated if the boss is defeated.

- I still couldn't get the first boss down, but this time he was left with a mere 1100 hp rather than 5-6k last time.
If you are relaying on the Basic Tower he will get throw, 3 poison tower with 1 or 2 freezing with the other towers will kill him. I made his defeat key in slowing him.

- One of the last rounds really took me by surprise and I didn't realise why, it was some of those heavily armored flesh golems or so, probably round 20-21? I'm not sure why but I leaked a lot of those, whereas all other rounds no monsters even got close to getting leaked.
I added an ability called 'Pierce resistance' which reduce 90% of piercing damage, but I should have informed it in the quest panel.

- Maybe another option to get wood would be a "gold -> wood" option at the shop?
I'll don't worry.

- Also, you most likely need to do something to speed this up a lot. I played about 1 hour, with having my towers close to entrance killing monsters as fast as possible, and I still took an hour to reach level 25.
The map is big and navigating through takes time, that's why I made 30 second duration between rounds.

Additional Features:
- A new hero will be added.
- A shop to purchase lumber.
- Hero will level a bit slowly.
- A description for spawn abilities will be added.
- And more towers with awesome damage.

Ok I have now tried your map! Didn't get too far because I had to go (not to mention that I wasn't doing too well), yes blink would really be a nice addition, also an other thing I always enjoy in TD's is a way to mesure the range (like a -range xx system, or a spell on the builder, or on the towers). Apart from that, I did notice that there had some balancing to be done. But it was cool ^^

This map is way too slow. Basically you cant build on any other spot than the very start else you have to wait several minutes each round (100% dead time and an absolute bore). The way to fix it would be to map the path tighter and smarter (adding a -next command would help as well).

Until that is resorted this map is too slow to even consider playing through, so 2/5 for now.
