An icon for -Grendel's fantastic Troll Conjurer model.

This was requested by Kyrbi0 for his Custom Race Project (check it out!).

The large version is really very nice, too bad it doesn't work as well when icon-sized. (still a good icon, though)

[EDIT] I've always found the rule that you require permission for an icon based on a model edit with ingame textures that are blizzard's work rather ridiculous.

Is it even a rule? I don't remember there being a rule to make an icon for another model (you're not editing the model in anyway, and only the icon is associated with the model, not the other way around). Especially when the icon is 100% freehand.

In the past, I'm pretty sure people made icons for models (especially in the requests section) without consulting the model-maker first.

@Mad: That is a really awesome icon. Sadly, the icon can't show off all the awesome details of the LP, but it looks great and fits well with the model + the wc3 style.

Thank you :)

I spotted this when I uploaded the icon;

Congratulations! Looking as good as I was hoping it would; glad you put it out there (since the model is so prevalent).

I, too, must decry the claim that he needs -Grendel's permission... It's one thing if artists work collaboratively, or work using other's work as a base/stock (like geomerging from other people's geosets, or copy/pasting each other's textures). Permissions make sense there. However, this guy (essentially) could've gotten inspired by -Grendel's model & decided to paint a big picture of his face. All of a sudden he needs permission for that? it's all in-game texture (custom mesh), but it's hand-drawn. Huh?

My favorite part is how he provides pictures of his progress ("old - old - new"). Too few artists do that, and I think it really does a lot to show how much better the existing one is (especially once Refreshes have lost the original to the sands of time). The only thing he could do better would be to date it all.

Even though the tusk could have used an angle, i still think it is 5/5 resource. clear in concept and art.
