Thanks all, but why should i change it and make it more unique i just wanted to paint a sword and the first think i saw was a "Gladius Sword" so i wanted to make something like that a simple sword for another civilization

Looks clean and nice, but it's hard to tell that it is a sword because of its unfamiliar handle, maybe if you showed more of the blade it would work better.

Intriguing design (Troja, anyone?), but the part you focused on doesn't make this look like a sword. :V
Showing the whole thing wouldn't work, either, since that would make the sword too small.
I think you can improve this by applying some stronger shading on the blade, plus an eventual change of colour to make the blade actually distinguishable.
I know that the whole thing's probably meant to be made from one and the same material, but it doesn't really work in the icon.
