Sin'dorei300: If u think u can apply the correct shading with the program that u use - do it.
If not, try to use a suitable art program("Gimp" is free), coz the shading isn't applied correctly.
Some parts seem more flat than others.
U'll notice that - if u look carefully at ur reference pic.
Also, u might observe other helmet icons, i especially recommend NFWar's ones.

I smell Skyrim

Its a bit cartoonish, shade it a bit to make it look like real. 2.5/5 for now

Looks pretty nice but more shading is requiered, it's nice to see some Skyrim icons though.

Regarding the shading and the metallic texture, take a look: Edit:
I suggest u to read the Icon Submission Rules and to choose a different art program for drawing, coz, imo, the ones u used doesn't help u to get the quality required for approval.

I don't feel that this is a reject-able icon. I mean I'd seen worse that got approved before.

This is still a very useful icon and with a nice quality.

i think it would be rejected for stealing arts?

I think this needs some serious work.

The shading is still lacking.
I suggest u to observe that reference pic of urs, to improve texture & shading.
