enjoy: way too cartoonish.. Needs highlights, shading, blending..

Seriusly need some improvements, tho fire is more or less good done, if it's your first icon.

Ever heard about too "cartoonish" before ?
This is a great example.
I think you should lower the brigthness in the colours, you could also draw some cracks overall the whole meteor .
Even though you're not that bad in the begining , you'll grow big .
But your Phoenix was epic ! also check out my sword, it's in the top of the icons atm i think.

The effect to make the rock look like its moving is quite off-set, also the details of the meteor itself are lacking.

Well.... :3!
The concept is good but use more darker and more "boring" colours, it's those who will make the work look awesome!
With these colours you're using now it will look so cartoony !
I also recommend if you're not already doing:
Post your updates in your albums before putting 'em out and then let somebody check if it's awesome or if it needs any slight fixes before it's uploaded at hive!
I'd recommend you use a burning tool with low opacity and spray the whole picture till it looks better.
Or you just make it less cartoony :3 !

you really should improve it. that cookie is baked way to hard. use more shading.
