My third icon, the M-16 assault rifle. The first american member of my icon set. Again, the vast majority of details were lost during resizing (I had a real hard time doing the hand guards). Drawn with Gimp and Corel PP, 100% freehand.

Full pic for the moderation (didn't remove the white border because it's not visible in 64x64): http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm144/zombie2279/m16-res1.png

"M16 (more formally Rifle, Caliber 5.56 mm, M16) is the U.S. military designation for a family of rifles derived from the ArmaLite AR-15 and further developed by Colt starting in the mid-20th century.

The M16 rifle family including the M16/A1/A2/A3/A4 has been the primary infantry rifle of the United States military since the 1960s. With its variants, it has been in use by 15 NATO countries, and is the most produced firearm in its caliber. The M16 entered Army service in 1964."

Traxamillion: It looks good for the most part but i have 2 problems with it.

1. The blue is too dark i would have gone with a brighter blue IE TC blue.

2. there are some white specks underneath the barrel of the gun.

Updated, removed the failed shading from the muzzle.

I can't do anything about the color, I think this is the most optimal blue, because if I make it lighter, the icon will look like shit and the bright light will be distractive. I think it's now in tip-top shape.

Woop woop, glow fixed.
