Your icons usually has weaker colors but I really like them on this one, it gives him a look of desolation. Salt and Sanctuary-esque.

You have expressed well my intention, to make a noble, and at the same time, as you said a salty expression of knight's face. That's it, thanks!

Google it :).

I found this comparison just, as it shows the truth itself. :D

To give you more in-depth feedback you'd need to tell me the desired effect behind this approach and whether you want to go more after realism or emphasizing of the character features or the in-game feeling or something third. Overall, I don't mind the colors as they are, however the background effect is not too defined, it is quite subtle and as such creates some unnecessary ambiguity. Consider outline around character, glowing effect or colored background.

The facial features themselves can be reviewed in different ways, as I said, it depends on what your desired effect with the icon was. Eyebrows should be made more prominent if you want to add more character to him. Eyebrows as they are now make him look quite reserved. Area that could use more work are cheeks, at the moment there is only a transition from darker to brighter area, lines determining his face structure could be sharper. Mustache look simplistic, not much textured or shaded. Lightsource appears to be quite arbitrary, not too defined. Left top corner could use brighter color to be more in balance with quite bright silver armor at the diagonal right bottom corner.

Well, it's very informative, @Murlocologist, thank you.

What I can say that the rework is to be done in a future period of time. Comparing to my other icons, yeah, it's blurry, the facial expression I'd keep in the same manner, maybe.

I'll see what I can do, to make it a good icon.

And again thanks!
