Sin'dorei300: The background blends too much with the potion.
Make the potion stand out more than the background and change the hue of the bg's color.
Also it reminds me a bit of a Coca-Cola banner! D

Hmm, interesting. I don't know what to tell. I think it looks too bloody in my opinion.
Edit: It's nice, the background is ok/

Little update. Ctrl+F5 Increase size and center.

EDIT:
v1.2: Added some highlights over all paint. Redefine Smoke, more shadows and light. New outline.

Makes me think about old Coca Cola advertisements. Makes me wanna model Coca Cola bottles. ;o

If you think it isn't a healing potion why you told me change little things and now say this? Seriously, say it at first and i don't waste more time.

Always you put errors on all my icons and approve simple icons from another users, like this .

Im not mad but a little irritated.

Healing Potions = Green?
But I guess it can be used for something else. Now for the icon, the background blends pretty much with the bottle, see if you can change / reduce the background a bit so the bottle itself sticks out more.

For me , and some games was red

Mostly red potions depict life potions as far as I know. Just look at diablo or torchlight 2. In warcraft it's a different story, but yeah the background blends a little with the potion.

The exessive amount of sparkly detail still makes it look like a fizzy drink.

Criticizing moderation and belittle the others icons won't make your work better.

Honestly my simple icon looks much cleaner and defined than yours.

Your bottle is unshaped and the background color blends with the color of the liquid.
The "liquid" has no liquid aspect and the lighting comes from different angles without sense.

I must agree with Marcos DAB, it's like he read my thoughts.

I love it, 3/5 ( because we have a lot of potions already but still )

I have to agree with David, anyway I'll give it a 4/5
