Why's the hand blurred? Can you sharpen it a little bit? Otherwise, This icon is just outstanding.

It's only blurry in the full size image, the icon is fairly sharp. I didn't want to use any tools except brushes, so that's as sharp as I could get it. I suppose if I made the original at 512x512 it may have been better, but for a 64x64 icon, that seems like overkill.

Kick in the shins, this icon.
It's not meant to be towards you, but Sin' didn't like my use of the circle and square tools so I went all brush. I know there is a touch of sarcasm in it, but I honestly hope he likes it and I definitely learned something from limiting myself to just brushes. If it was not for being pushed, none of us would improve, so I am actually grateful for that. However, if he feels it in the shins just a little, that's ok with me too.

What do you think of the icon?

I'm sure Sin'dorei300 will like this since he is a fan of freehand icons xD
The icon itself seems decent, except the hand is blurry and needs some defining

I'll see what I can do. I'm not really sure how that's done, but I have some ideas. Any suggestions? I saved the layers separately this time.

Something like this should be fine.

As for your question: just Merge all your layers(with whatever option your software has) and then resize the image to 64x64.
After that just use a Sharpen option from your software.

Then Save As a separate tga/which format you want to avoid saving the changes to your Layered image.

Note: I use Photoshop.

I use pixlr.com.

Here's what I was able to come up with:
