zombie2279: Definitely good quality, as Paladon said, the color scheme is very good. I also like the wooden texture you pulled on it, there's only a few problems I have with it. First is that you seem to have placed too many cracks on it, making it loose its shield shape. Using only one would have helped the users identify what it is. The other one being the fact that the edges don't seem to be 3D enough. The wooden tex is nearing perfection, you should have given the edges a better look, really. The last is the fact that the red rune-like thing in the middle decreases the overall quality. Either redesign it or remove it. Anyways, it's definitely good work.

This icon obviously contains a blue-glowing background accenting the shield object in the foreground.
Somekind of red rune in the fore-foreground is visible but not as much needed as a simple handle to hold the shield.

The texture of the shield appears rather scratched and old, you catched the matching athmosphere somehow.
My recommendations tend to the metallic border of the shield, being not metallic enough.
I'd like to see a partially rusted metal, really just partially, and other parts with the scratched appearance you've choosen for now.
A third part should be nearly in original stage.

Now, on the brownish shield texture, there are small bright points which distract the view from its main purpose. You should overpaint them using the given brown colours.
It would also be a possibility to make use of the smudge tool with a 2 pixel pencil.
