I want to do an eredar (or possibly dreadlord) skin for it, but I'm too tired to do it tonight and I have too much absinthe to drink tomorrow to consider doing it this weekend. If people like the icon I'll get to work on it next week

Honestly the teeth are odd, too straight and narrow for a deamon. The background could use some work too.

lol, glad you picked up on that... to make this icon a little different I thought I'd go with an african theme... the baboon and zulu masks being the primary inspiration.
I tried different things with the mouth, sharp teeth, tusks etc... but I came back to the mask idea for inspiration and thought it looked better plain and straight... not all demons are beasts with a mouthful of fangs, and I personally find that this permanent grin to be more sinister and horrifying. Of course that's just my opinion on it and I knew from the start this design wasn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but it's what I wanted to do.
With the background I tried alot of different colours, patterns and even flames, but I found all of the other options I tried just detracted from the demon itself. I wanted to keep it in focus so after trying a multitude of things I settled on the orange. I don't know what it is about it but I just really like the contrast of colours.
