Please define that red line on top, if its a feather coming off of the helmet then add more shading or texture to make it seem like a feather coming off of it. Right now i cant really tell too much. Also, theres red lines near the front and on that curve part, not sure if its shading or what, please define or smooth them out a bit.

Thanks! But well, first of all, those are rim lights. There is a "three-point lighting" system here, like most of my other item icons. You have key light, diffuse light and rim light.. you know.

And about those red things, they are rim lights created on some tissues at the end of the helmet. You see there is some tissues on some ancient (and even more modern) helmets? I did not want them to be directly visible, so there is no shading or texture, just rim lights, that is on purpose. Thus, bear with me! xD

As I said, those are rim lights. Result of a three-point lighting.

However, I just tried to somehow make some feathers without considering these. It did not really look good. If you could, perhaps, give me some edits on how to shade those tissues better while not taking too much emphasis, I'm all eyes.

Hmm, ok well lets try light blue instead of red, make it smoother and see how that looks.

I think you did a great job, but I also think that the "tissues" would be a greater addition if you give them more focus in the icon, alternatively maybe a different way to make them a bit less of a distraction would also help. I experimented with a different style to make the helmet more of the focus and make the tissues a less distracting addition to see if it can give you any inspiration.

Hm.. that would definitely do the job. My mind went for feathers but this one seems to be satisfying. But I won't remove that curved line on front as you did, because it is giving volume to the helmet. My thanks! :]

@The Panda How're these?
