BTNButcheringBlow

If you use this icon, all I ask for is some kind of credit/acknowledgement. Not really sure what to say about it. An icon of a humanoid being split down the middle. Hopefully not too violent for the section, can think of a few uses for it as an ability icon.

Update: Replaced with an armoured version, plus blood. If I find more time I will revise this further, make the blood less ridiculous, other minor improvements. No promises though.

There should be some armor or clothes to make it look realistic. Some stronger contrast and a lot of shadows could be applied as well. Have you tried with some blood splats to make the whole icon get that feeling that the blade has just halved the body, not giving it the impression of standing there for some time, stuck in place?
The blade could use some revising and more details as well.

I'm leaving this unmoderated, so that you can collect more feedback and update the icon with better quality (make sure to inform us when and what was improved).

Have a nice day!

The blade is meant to be indistinct, so it could also be used for some kind of force/shockwave, but perhaps that's not as clear as I'd hoped. I'll try adding some armor, but I'm usually better at organic than constructed, so I'll have to hope it turns out ok. Respectfully disagree about the contrast but I'll try upping it anyway and see what happens. I lose a fair bit of gore detail in shrinking it down to icon scale, I'll try make it more distinct. Thanks for the critique all of you, changes should hopefully be made in not too long!

EDIT:

Ok, here's a revised version with armor, hopefully slightly better contrast, and a bit more blood. Also increased the area of the 'blade' a bit, tried to make it look more like it was under motion. Will put them in this post for now, because I'm still not sure it's an improvement. Have the old copy still as well.

Old above, new below.

EDIT: Apparently the revised icons are missing? Well ok then, here we go. 3rd time lucky.

I would say skip the extra added "wind-effect" since it makes it less defined. You could make some line of blood or something in the direction of the cut instead, will add more "butchering" feeling to it, as well as we see the sword move but it can still be defined. The white sort of, stands out.
