But personally, I'd add a blue glow. That would be darn awesome

I think the update makes it worse. Glow is not everything. Sometimes, a simplier appearance is much better useable.

Left hand doesn't really look like it's hand shaking. To me, now it looks like the right hand is holding the left hand. Or maybe, the right hand is being showed too much. I believe that the position of hands should be like this:
Hmm... that would actually require from you to change the whole concept... I don't know. I just can't imagine it as a handshake, it looks like a hand grab to me.
EDIT: Or was your intention to actually make a hand grab...? I see that the name is ally, so I guess it's supossed to be a handhake... maybe I'm wrong. So what was your intention, handshake or hand grab?
