FrostWyrm.blp

Well, well, well,
I didn't start having a concrete idea in mind, but it went along smoothly
and came out better than I anticipated it to be. The mapping on this one
might need some improvements here and there, but I wanted to get it out
to add it to the very limited pool of FrostWyrm skins.
That, by the way is a shame, because the model is great for learning about
tiny details and big designs and there NEEDS to be more variation of the standard
FrostWyrm on here.

Below is a small collage of screenshots of the skin.

*MLG pro tip*
The scale for the frostwyrm model is ~1.75 - ~5.0 imo for this skin to work best,
since it has more details than your stock warcraft 3 texture, which makes it look very
"crowded" when the scale of the model is smaller. That, you do not want.

The shading could be a little bit deeper. Light source is always from above, other parts of the skin doesn't follow light consistency, it could be fixed with darker shading, but it is just minor. The forehead seems to be more 2D rather than 3D. This could be fixed by adding more highlights and/or altering shading. The idea seems to be very nice and executed very well. I noticed that the fang is not alphaed out. The wings is pretty well done. Details are executed very well which gives a nice unique charm to the skin overall. Color choice is chosen very good as well.

Great effort and a nice addition to your collection as well as Hive's. Thus, I'll give this resource a 5/5 Rating (Highly Recommended)! Good job!

The spine parts doesn't seem to have a proper seam or transition with each other. All of the bone parts actually needs more deeper/darker shading. The face could also be fixed - particularly the teeth, to give a more natural dragon look. Well the idea was fantastic and executed well, although you may try to fix some things and you're good to go.

Thanks guys. :) I'm glad you like this one as much as I do.

The skin has been updated. Now it has teeth, slightly darker bones and the face-mapping got improved. I also added the corresponding icons to this skin.

I'm hitting my head on the spine part. I can't for the love of Ner'zhul align the rear-spine to the medium-spine. It seems that the frostwyrm has sort of a slanted mapping in those parts. (Or I'm standng in a forest and wonder where that tree went. Both possible.)

Honestly, this skin looks more like a Digimon than a war3 skin.. the way parts seem to repeat themselves suggest a collage work, which never fits well, unlike the drawing that has a solid 'wireframe' that looks well on the model even in a dummy-texture form

I'd fancy WIPs shown 'u' if you may

I have not a single clue what you are saying here, except for the digimon part. I can send you the .PSD file, if you'd like to take a peek into each layer, if that is what you meant.
