Blackhand the Destroyer

Based on:Beastmaster and Derivatives by Ujimasa Hojo

I know that is the simple changes, but I think that it can be useful. If ya like it, give follow.

More of my work you can find here: Edited and changed work of Ujimasa hojo by Ilya Alaric

If you yourself want use these models for own work or projects, you are absolutly free to do it.

Inspiration for this one was Orcish Berserker by supertoinkz and that famous WC1 picture of Blackhand

Huge thanks for fixing and adding animation for model to Lefroit

A nice edit of Ujimasa's derivative and great for classic pre-wc3 style maps. Good job.

I gotta say, I'm not much for Orcs, and you have historically done pretty simple edits... But something about this really approaches something incredible, not gonna lie. I'm getting serious Heart-of-Storms vibes from this (see attachment), and it comes across pretty dang well for as simple as it is (Beastmaster -> Orc). I was always so disappointed that the Horde didn't feature a burly Orc Warlord hero at all (yeah I know Mathog, and yeah I know the Wc3 Horde was moving away from it's Wc2 ways).

With all due respect, this doesn't even feel like the original Blackhand the Destroyer from WarCraft: Orcs and Humans. It's missing many aesthetics the original Blackhand had.
Don't get me wrong, Blackhand's character received many changes over the years, and even the expanded lore from Warlords of Draenor featured him having a literal black hand. However, even those models felt like someone else.
Here are two images of the original Blackhand: his seated on his throne, and Doomhammer holding up his head.
I suggest that you should pay close attention to the detail (it will be a long process) and build on Blackhand's initial character.
In WarCraft III: Dawn of Chaos, the makers did a fabulous job with this Blackhand model. While he had things like shoulderpads (which is okay, since the Blackrock Clan is now renowned for blacksmithing) they really captured his face in this.
Also, make the antlers so they resemble the one in Blackhand's black-and-white images.

Hi. I know that my model is really different than original. But as I said, "Inspiration for this one was Orcish Berserker by supertoinkz and that famous WC1 picture of Blackhand". I did not said that I am going to make complet remake. I personally am satisfied with that my work. It is true that its face seems to be too thin for blackhand face, but that is accoriding to me all wrong what I have done about him
+ as you said, blackhand get a few next looks among of time, all was totally different from each other, and none of them was bad.
Because of that I did not felt a duty to make my version too samilar to any of them

I'm not trying to criticize your work at all. I'm sure that over time, your skills with texturing and modding will improve. All I'm doing is offering you suggestions, because I feel that some mods deserve all the aesthetics they deserve from previous drawings.
I know you do not. I am not angry or something like that. I just explaining.

A very cool idea, but the execution could still need some work.
Please fix the following issues:
  • Some unused track and other issues here: Sanity Test
You can use this tool to quickly fix them. Just drop an .mdx on the page: MDLX Optimizer
Hi. I like you like it. I would like fix it in that optimizer, but I think there is some error or something like that

Out of interest, do you have access to the model in that picture? I can't seem to find it in the HoS pack from the Hive.
