Beyond the Hill
Genre: Melee Map
Tileset: Lordaeron Winter
I cant think of the description of this map. Would glad if someone could help me with it.

This is a melee map. The reason that the icon on the left of the map name shows it is non-melee map is because of few edited objects and triggers.

Features
  • 14 gold mines, 6 of them belong to players
  • 2 Goblin Merchants
  • 2 Goblin Laboratories
  • 1 Tavern and 2 Mercenary Camps
  • Each player should have 3 green creep camps and 2 orange camps around their base
  • 7 red creep camps, including hill entrance guardian

Changelog
  • Difference in height between mid-left gold mine and mid-right gold mine is reduced
  • Another mercenary camp along with creep camp are added at middle of the hill

What causes the icon on the left of the map to become non-melee map?
  • Custom triggers to add custom music to it
  • A custom neutral creep which is used to guard the entrance of the hill
  • The trees have 150% of their default hitpoints

This is just a melee map. Why does the filesize reaches 1.3mb?
  • 2 imported files (1 mb for music, 70 kb for a model)

Extra: I added the custom music is because I do not like the tension emotion that the wc3 music brings. In this map, I think its suitable to give a comfortable feeling to the players, therefore this music is used. Hope you like it, pardon for my bad English.

Also, maybe you could replace those 2 additional goldmines in the center with merc camps and thus add creep camps to them.
Overall it seems somewhat symmetrical, but why did you add fences between trees at the bottom right? xD

Custom triggers to add custom music to it
A custom neutral creep which is used to guard the entrance of the hill
You can harvest 1.5x longer on trees

Wrong this still stands a melee map with a little changes. I also used custom neutral on one of my melee maps using imported models but I haven't thought it as altered. A music also doesn't make your map altered melee.

If you want to have a altered melee map you should at least alter the tech tree and some other stuffs that is major for a melee map.

Remove that music 1mb of filesize doesn't deserves the dl time.

You do not seem to fully understand my descriptions... Allow me to explain.

Description said:
This is a melee map.

And then at the end I stated

...causes to become non-melee map?

So from the quotes I look like Im trying to make my map become a melee map AND an altered melee. No, wrong.

This section
What causes this map to become non-melee?

Was actually meant to explain why the icon on the left of the map name becomes the icon of a non-melee map even though I didnt want it to.

Also the first commentor also said "Since it's not a melee map anymore...". This shows that I once put this map as a melee map category but I changed it due to people's opinion.

So to summarize, I actually wanted this to become a melee map but im not entirely sure whether it should be one since custom data are added. But its my bad since I didnt write it in a proper meaning. Anyways, it is categorized as a melee map then? :D

For the music, I would wait for more opinions, and if the results are not satisfying, I will delete it.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I liked your melee maps, you know, the one with different color terrain? Wish you could make a version that can support more players :D

You should know that I know sonofjay is a melee map expert. No offense, but you should figure out why I doubted that he really checked the map. His comment says it all.

and this is why all maps require a map description, this is how users interact with the map by first checking out the description before download or playing. but as for sonofjay his mapping expertise can be different who knows he already tested it. So no more argument about this and above all he makes decent reviews

The amount of terrain height difference at the center bonus mines (west and east) is a bit too high.
I have reduced it a little. Does it need more?

Also, maybe you could replace those 2 additional goldmines in the center with merc camps and thus add creep camps to them.
I would like to retain the bonus gold mines, if you don't mind. However, creep camp has been added at the center part along another merc camp (lordaeron winter).

Overall it seems somewhat symmetrical, but why did you add fences between trees at the bottom right? xD
From the picture I provided below, assume the normal "G" is a player base, well I hope you get what I mean...
