CHAPTER 2 COMING SOON

Several things were changed after the Review:
- Fixed the 20sec random map pause, (this bug has been further elaborated in the map, it is actually a part of a cinematic ongoing for another player, now it's been properly made to be shown to all players with the dialogue. you'll still be paused but u can read what's going on in the story)
- Balanced some Camp units being too overpowered near the starting areas.
- The Demon gate cinematics now show to everyone.
- Made a few quest logs to explain how the map works and what is your role in it.
- the cause for the AI to stop moving after 20 min ingame is still unknown, since i tried it for myself and they never did stop at 20mins things were fine, but i will test it further. ) <-- Update: IT'S STILL BROKEN more info on version 2.1
- Expect custom units for the demonhunters race soon, that will also work with AI.

A lot of major bugs fixed this version:
- Fixed Durotan Troll Berserker Unable to be built after headhunter being upgraded into that unit type
- Fixed the Orc Survivors that u rescue's endless annoying rescue message
- may have fixed the 20 min ingame AI stopping from running
- Replaced bugged tiny great durotan hall with a Lumber for Gold trade
- Fixed Tagar Spinebreaker's cinematic appearing even after hes dead
- Overhauled the creep camps. No more different faction tribes for each creep type. Everyone is neutral hostile now. And you don't have to type GGLOL to win, and no need for special custom scripts for that, which may have caused the 20 min ingame AI bug.
- Fixed Southwest gold mine not having creeps if player slot is empty
- Put credits from resources i used ingame
- Changed names of upgrades on Fel orcs
- Changed idle peon worker icon into Chaos worker
- removed underwater buildings
- fixed description for Fel Orc Witchers
- Changed centaur champion model (no glow)
- Custom Tavern Heroes coming soon...
- Custom units for Demonhunter race coming soon...
- AI may bug after 20 min ingame, But with these recent fixes it may not. Still have to test will update tommorow.. =May 27th 2017
- Added updated Varok Saurfang (Big Thanks to the modeler)
- removed Outland wind from v2.0 which wasn't mentioned in v2.0

- fixed the bucket of gold tooltip item, it properly displays how much gold is given and lumber taken, and now u require a fortress to use it like the orb of lightning, since it's a replacement of the tiny great hall.
- fixed the troll berserker's requirements.

- ADDED NEW TAVERN CUSTOM HEROES,( the reasoning for this is if u happen to not like the fact that the fel heroes don't have their custom abilities, that is because the AI wouldn't work otherwise, so therefore i made custom heroes in the tavern that do infact have custom spells, which u can prefer if u like to vary it a little bit, of course AI can't use these, these are specifically to make the game more creative.

The major update has arrived, here is what has changed:
- New custom tavern heroes, from which half of them have their own custom unit sound set
- Introducing new custom spells into my map, every default hero from the three races has at least one, including the tavern heroes.
- Fixed a lot of bugs, fixed tooltips, updated some upgrades, removed the factions for the creep units and made them all neutrally hostile.
- fixed the underwater buildings.
- Overhauled the demonhunter race, now u can train satyrs instead of elves.
- Made new heroes for the Demonhunter race.
- Removed the infernal cinematic cause it caused bugs. game is smoother without it.
- Changed all the player teams so that each one of you is now on their own, no allying, u are against everyone and everyone is against you, including the Durotan orcs vs the Demonhunters.
- Added a custom unit sound set for Varok Saurfang as well, soon another one is coming for the Black hammer from the fel orcs
- Balanced the new custom spells.
- Nerfed some creep units, and some overpowered units from the demonhunters.

Hope you enjoy the map i made i basically modified the already existing barren wastes map drastically, cause it fit in with AI running and the overall planned look, It's story driven while at the same time being melee.

Hey I just played the map and heres my review:

1.One of the great thing that I love in the map i s the models and icons I really loved it
2.The terrain looke beautiful the placement of the trees camps and many more are balanced (not all)
3.I loved the cool demon hunter race
4.You should really put a credits list or a change log and a instruction in the quest log so that we will know what to do
5.I found a bug in the AI players when the map is like 20 minutes in game all of the AI players will stop I dont know why and I waited and they still hold position exept if I get near them

Thank you so much for the honest review. I'll tend to the bugs you've found immadietly, especially the one where the AI stop at 20 minutes in game. Putting up quests and credit lists is what i'll learn doing at the moment and immadietly put up the change on this map. And im definitely already working on a sequel for this map, where the second chapter will be more about elaborating what's going on with the story and what is to be. Anyway thanks again and i'll see to fixing up all the bugs.

And the map pausing for like 20 secs probably has something to do with me forgetting to pause just a specific amount of units instead of mistakenly pausing all of them while some of the cinematics i made was running.

Update:
I fixed most issues, it should be good to go for now, but i'll further update the map to add more interesting things and test it if i find anything else.

^ never mind this, i did a second test and found some bugs, il further update the map starting of now.

There isn't enough creativity to pass the approval line.
I suggest you rethink the gameplay and techtrees. Use your imagination. Don't hurry.

A credits list is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated.

A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.

Hello! And thank you for the Honest and nicely detailed review, i have managed to fix most of these things as stated in the new version 2.1 spoiler above but i have a question about the custom spells/abilities, you see i purposefully left out them as the default spells/abilities etc, cause the AI wouldn't recognize the new ones (if it did work, oh man i not only would it be creative but..) , Could you guide me if there is a way of fixing this, or showing me some tip or a link to a tutorial, cause i've been trying to figure out to program my AI to use custom spells for the longest time, using triggers is tricky as hell and i'm not sure which triggers are best for the job. So i just left it as it is to function. Finding 8 players to play with you especially on a fresh new map like mine is pretty hard so i made it work with AI so you can enjoy it by yourself, But the custom spells thingy is tricky. And i'll try to put more unique fel models in the next version.

Update:
Made new custom heroes in the tavern with custom spells/abilities
i'll work on the night elf units tommorow.

Well you could use the AI editor in the World Editor to make your custom AI. Maybe, there's a way to extract the game's AI files and then edit them in the AI editor to replace the default spells with the new ones. The harder way, is to trigger them with the Trigger Editor.
The sloppy way would be to just have the players with custom spells and the AI with default spells (at least change them like: Endurance Aura+Avatar (you don't necessarily need this as an ultimate)+Feral Spirit+whatever else. You still need the AI editor for the AI to know those though.

Please use some hidden/spoiler tags on the credits in your description to ease reading. Text colour variation wouldn't hurt either.
Waiting for that techtree update.
Updated the map finally after some weeks of working with it.
Changed a lot of things, most of the things i changed are announced at the new VERSION 2.2.0 CHANGES tab.
Added new custom heroes in the tavern, overhauled the demonhunter race and added custom upgrades to their race.
Added new custom spells for all heroes and unit sound sets for some heroes, Balanced some units etc.. many many things.

1. Blackhand has the Far Seer's description. The other heroes have no abilities mentioned in their description (like how Warcraft III did it).
2. Why does almost every neutral hostile unit have Disease Cloud?
3. Fel Orcs are still a copy of Orcs, sadly. I wonder how Chaos damage on every unit calls for balance against the other races (except for the hero ultimates; the Shadow Hunter's is very laggy).

4. Heroes of the Demon Hunter faction have weird and long descriptions. Make all of them follow a pattern.
5. Fel Spirit is also present on Blackhand.
6. It's not Shadowcaster's spell but attack range in that upgrade/research's description.
7. Idle workers look like Chaos Peons.
8. Hevnoraak has no hero glow. You could make one: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling
9. Satyr Queen also has Shadow Strike. Having two heroes with the same spell is not just unbalanced but bad design. Her ultimate's icon position is wrong.
10. Ancient of Health training looks like a Treant and so does that upgrade for the Ancient of Mana.
11. Pretty dangerous to have Mana Burn on units and on a hero.
12. Two units with Spell Immunity... I don't know.
13. Some heroes are just Night Elf copies with changed models and names.
14. Still has a lot of Night Elf in it. Could be better.
