EDIT: more proof, this is the real ashbringer, from WoWhttp://www.wowhead.com/?item=13262, notice there is a cone-like shape connecting the handle and the "E" mid-part, also that one glows

Same goes with my Corrupted Ashbringer model.

Its just me, or this model is imported from wow?

nope, which is the best part and makes me feel better its the texture that makes it look like that, i used one from a website, it's based off the real one.

It's quite accurate to the World of Warcraft one. Nice job, very useful.

yeah, he made a few forums a while back with his own model for it without the texture.

Wow model or not (i hope not) the filesize could be shortened. If its not a wow model, then its a 8/10

yes there are some unnecessary verteces in there, i will remove them tomorrow or later today, and you can get a decreased file size.

also, it's not a WoW export, but thanks for the compliments, search in texturing forums and there's a thread I made, also the plain model without texture is floating around there.

You can tell it's not the WoW model, because the WoW model, the etchings on the blade where clear as day. Also, it has a hand on the little floating circle, and unless it has it when not in the picture, than it is a real model.

.... dang. I was just making this recently. Was about to texture it, and upload it...

but wait! That texture is from a picture! The mods don't like that (they've done it to me. I'd be surprised if you got away with it)

well, the model I had that had a picture was rejected cause the texture was a picture :/ SO I don't see why they would reject it for being a picture (it doesn't say it) but they rejected mine cause it was a picture ): It's really screwed up. You could ask a mod about it. They would likely know the model rules better than I. :/

Basically, the entire thread on my model was about me supposedly claiming the texture as mine, and a lot of mod complaints about it being "not made me myself". So, they may ignore the texture on the sword, but I really dunno. It's one of those rules that I guess is unstated that some mods have taken up as a rule :/

ah ok, i'll update and say: I didn't make this texture = win?

too much polies and a custom skin.. you could get rid of either and try to actually use ingame textures.

that size is too much for a simple attachment.

and yes, it does look like a WoW rip.

it's not... seriously.. look at the handle, tomorrow i will post pics of untextured model, and reduce polycount...

well, one way someone could prove it isn't is to show a comparison of the two meshes. I can't export wow models, so I can't really get a pic of both meshes ):

polys are way high, also I think the wrap could be better, IMO I'd try to make it less WoW looking.

It's not WoW rip.. It looks different in WoW ya know . This is just pure awesomeness.

If ,there is someone who think its a wow exported model,i can give a photo of the real wow exported model,i got wow exported ashbringer,i tryied to give to same units wow ashbringer and this ashbringer,its not the same,if you wish i upload the pic of the real one,just i needto found model viewer ,because some model viewers wont opent this file.

rejected :l they say i need permission, or that i need my own texture i'll try to get the permission, if i'm unsuccessful, it's still there to download, so don't worry.

as were many many models. Yet, its always this unstated, unofficial rule that trips people D:
