Age of War v9.0

AGE OF WAR!
This is my first map that i actually completed for wc3 : D
Its an Age of Empires 2 remake to the wc3 engine.
It is set in between 1000s and the 1600s.

What you can do in my map:
-Choose a civilization
-Fight through five ages
-3 Different ways to win

With each civilization you get:
-2 unique units
-2 unique technologies

Features Included:
-11 unique Civilizations
-Ingame alliances
-Massive Armies (Up to 200 food)
-Many custom models and eye candy
-Walls, Gates, Towers, and Castles
-Naval Warfare

MIND YOU, I STILL PLAY AOEII AND THIS DOESNT GIVE THE SAME FEEL... but then again i do play a mod (which is 10X better than the origional, with its own badass campaigns :D)
Edit: actually, this has its own feel to it, which i like o.o

It isn't an exact replica of AOEII, it's what AOEII might be if made in the Warcraft III Engine, thus making it original and interesting instead of being a boring replica of a game already made. :thumbs_up:

I noticed that already, Sheesh!
It was a quick glance-and-kill(deadai) test, not a thorough one, all i did was play one game get a castle and bewm, kill the ai and go (didnt have much time)
Edit: get a bloody ai out please :)
Edit 2: I will stab every admin that involves moderating the mapping section if this is not approved by... friday? (aust)

Request: please make ships a tad more costly, i get raped by those who have lots of ships cos everything but your main base is coastlined D:
maybe just up all the gold/wood costs by 100 for each ship but transport ships. kthx.

Additional Information:
The description really needs to be better. I trust you that you will fix this soon. Other than that map is good.
Also for some reason, there is no preview, maybe it's just me though.

I will contact the moderator to Approve/Reject the map, depending on what you recieved.

I know that i didn't make an update for this map in months but one will come soon!
Things that will be updated:
-improved terrain and terrain pathing
-reworked armor/attack types so that units counter properly
-new icons instead of the boring, overused wc3 ones
-missing unit portraits (some don't like playing without them)
-new useful abilities for many units
-adjusted gold/lumber costs for units and buildings
-improved tooltips (yes i know they suck now)
If i can find a decent coder i might be able to fix the following:
-relic randomization system
-make wonder victory work online (i dunno why it only works offline)
-finally make a dam AI that everyone wants so badly

Version Changes:

-> Added Relic Randomization, up to 22 regions for relic placement!
-> Fixed tooltips, missing portraits and descriptions.
-> Minor balance changes, including:

- Ships, gold cost reduced and lumber cost increased.
- Trebuchet health halved.
- War Elephants and Teutonic Knights movement speed cut.
- ALL ranged weapons fire 33% faster but do 33% less damage.


AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!

This is really starting to shape up reaps, just get a bigger map, some AI and this could be really good fun! :)

Small patch ahead (Today)
-preventing wonder from being built in age 1
-proper button placement in the monastery

Also AI is in the making (first age AI is roughly complete)
Map will be reterrained to accommodate 8 players to have even more epic battles
Unfortunately the AI cant mine from 2 mines so i made your starting mine have 2x more gold that can be mined 2x faster with 10 workers working instead of the normal 5. (This has no impact on game economy at all, its merely a convenience issue for AI)

Seems like a fun game , been a long time since i played AoE II .. how about a game like AoE III?

Okay so it was fun but like the others have said theres no ai , i think you should change the age upgrade to something like dark age , feudal age , etc (just like the AoE 2) and i liked the outpost , it looked like the same in aoe 2 ..

Epic failed,No chinese has a flag stabbed in the ass ( in the back ) I mean NOONE,with NOONE I MEAN NOONE,Only the japanese DO THAT,also the ninjas ARE FROM JAPAN,You mixed the japs with the chinese and THATS A EPIC FAIL,U can get killed if u were in china, You are Reviving the WW2,its very ignorant and noobish,either delete china or change units

If there were any other asian units i would replace them. I did the game in 2 units sets: european and asian. No offense but all asians look alike as do all europeans.

Also i included less models to save space.

On the other hand i am releasing another map soon! So get ready for more epic battles!

Life is kind of busy atm reaps, if you want that AI done by me, you need to make a bigger map. I've summed up schoolwork, social life, modding and all that and decided that:

The amount of use for AI in a four player map (that isn't "AMAZINGLY" popular(goodmap, just not groundbreaking)) vs the time taken to make it for every race, is well... crap.

I'll do AI if and when you make an 8+ player variant of this map, otherwise I'm sorry to say I kinda have more important/worthwhile things to do with my time :/



But it's not exactly hard to fill up 4 slots, so AI is not really needed in this... X.X
