(6) Blood Dunes

Blood Dunes - (melee)

I first made this map for a mod, but decided to change it a bit so I can upload it as a melee map.

It is meant to be played 2vs2 or 3vs3. With Hell Masters's feedback implemented, there are now 5 expansion points (7 when playing 2vs2). And the goldmines are generously filled with gold. Players also have acces to Taverns. The center of the map is heavily guarded by creeps, but once cleared adds another way to the enemies' base and the creeps drop nice loot. There is also a Dragon Roost and a Gold Mine in the center of the map, so all in all it is a key area to control.

Background story:

The dunes tinted red, the seas filled with corpses and the air polluted with a rotten stench. Just how the Orcs wanted it and will keep it that way.

I have played your melee map, Blood Dunes and I must say it looks decent but could have some little balancing for approval.

The terrain firstly is fine. Terrains ha ground variation is not flat but could use some smooth tool in sharp raises areas and because of this, there are presence of floating rocks which can be fixed by using the smooth tool on the sharp raises. Terrain has some decent amount of tile variation also. Terrain has some fine details in it, not that empty and is acceptable.

Now, on to the melee content itself. I seriously do not like the idea of Goblin Shipyard at the sides simply because it serves no real and enough purpose but just to travel at the other side of the terrain which could also be just reached through walking as well but the good side of it is that it provides more ways on ambushing your enemy bases. The amount of gold mines lacks as well for only one player can attain an expansion which can be pretty challenging which is good for other players but imbalance though. It would be pretty much suggested just to remove those shipyards and expand the land areas there and make those into gold mines. The amount of creeps looks totally fine but could use some orange or red camps instead of all green camps. Item drops looks good and randomize which should be.

Overall, this is promising but needs some work and this'll be approved in no time. Rated 2/5 and Awaiting Update.

Thanks for reviewing. I will see what I can do.

- map updated, on the site (atleast on my comp) it still shows the old preview minimap image, the one in the map actually shows the new terrain and extra gold mines correctly.

Also forgot to mention that I have improved some of the creep camps a bit.
