Game Modes

-3 different game modes
-Normal mode is the mode per defaut (see Quest Tree): complete game across all the map with a balanced gameplay.
-Original mode is a faster mode wich only happens during the Hot Gates battle, like the old 300 - Three Hundred maps. Quest tree is different there, and most of the available quests of the Normal mode are playable in a linear quest tree.
-Nightmare mode is, of course, the hard mode, with the same gameplay than Normal mode. But I also changed other things: creeps universes used are not wolfs, insects, bandits, persians etc... but undeads and demons! The map terrain is also changed, making the map a battle in a "End of the World" universe.
Quests

-Complete Quest Trees with random/counditions to make each game different
-Each quest has its own universe of creeps (animals, bandits, persians, demons etc)
-Each quest get its own boss
-Each quest success brings experience. If the quest can be failed, and that players fail it, you will launch a "survival" quest.
-Efficient AI for creeps, allied units and non-hero units to avoid micro-manage. Creeps are able to act with some intelligence (phalanx if attacked by ranged unit, dodge-jump etc).
-Proportional difficulty: the more the experience average between players, the harder the game is.
Heroes

-9 heroes with many spells and a different gameplay for each one.
-Each hero has a basic spellbook with abilities like Phalanx, Throw spear, Throw arrow, jump etc...
-Each hero has spells to learn (4 main skills of 6 levels). The average is 3 regular Hero spells and a fourth which grants a special spellbook with several other abilities.
-Each hero has a different role and gameplay.
-Heroes are unlocked if the loaded code provides a rank enough high.

Save System

-Save and Load system your experience: a short code. This allows you to change of hero each game (and avoid a boring unic character).
-Experience brings up to 12 ranks.
-Each rank provides a general bonus (health, mana regeneration, move and attack speed)
-Ranks unlock hero class.
Hero Customization

-A system has been designed to allows you to custom some parts of the heroes.
-At the moment, Head, Helm and Cloak can be changed at the start of the game (6=>12 models for each part).
-Then you can build your own hero-design each game.
Realistic Equipement

-Your hero has two weapons: a main (spear) and a secondary (sword, etc...)
-You can switch between spear and secondary weapon.
-The spear can be thrown. To use it again, you must grab it on the ground.
-You can wear two secondary weapons (such as 2 swords) if you do not wear a shield.
-Of course, if you do not wear a shield, you can use some 2 hands weapons (such as Hammer, Axe).
-You can only wear a an armor (not 4 swords and 2 armors for example).
-Each hero can throw arrows if he has some. It's like a third weapon.
-Damage system: the more you strike, the more your weapon will be damaged and deal less damage. The more you are attacked, the more your armor will loss defence.


300 Blast Them is organized arround a quest trees: you will not play all quests in a game, but only some of them. The first quest is a random choice between four. Then, the quest you will get will change wether your last quest was a success, a fail, or, sometimes, an other random choice.

Throw spear and jump are both the same hotkey "W".
Spartan warriors bash jump is the same hotkey as stop.

Pretty fun game overall. 4/5

If you jump into the water you can't get back up so the game ends for you right there.

You know, at the moment, there are 37 quests! I suppose this is a good start, what do you think about this?

At the moment I have 3 priorities for this map:
1-Fix all bugs people will report and balance things
2-Create the entire items list I want to make for this map (+15/30 items) and add a bit more allied units
3-Finish to design all the tooltips

the idear is good but the game was boring, if i want to play a 300map i want massfights and a lot of action, so the spi-search disappointet me and i quit...

You gain experience really slow with a lot of people =/

Also the healers revive spell for some odd reason doesn't work it just keeps saying it failed even at level 3.

Maybe you should inform people that the water kills you permanently, because noobs always think "hey lets take a shortcut across the water" and how would water stop a SPARTANNNNN?

Q3 cages quest seems to be bugged as the prisoners that cast phalanx just stand still after using it.

Loading never seems to work for me I never get my exp back in the scoreboard. Or is that not ur rank exp?

I have played this game and I must say I didn't really like it.

:thumbs_down: At the start I didn't know I had to mess with my character before I started fighting. (forget what its called but you have to set up the hero some how.) So I just sat there with a black screen typing WTF WTF WTF. So it would be nice if you had a message telling you to mess with your hero.

BUG REPORT: the units in the first (that i know of) escorting quest Don't move as soon as they go over the bridge, is there something to do to make them move or what? they just form up and are idle up for the next 10 minutes.

i have discovered like 10000 bugs in beta 07.. but where to start..

First i got over 5000 xp and i should be able to pick brute as class. but somehow it does not unlock when i load..

several quests is also bugged alot.

the quest where you have to kill the persians artelleri is bugged alot. some of the artelleri spawns at hills and are unreachable others spawn inside the rear camp of the persians so also unable to go to them, you should make a fixed spot where they spawn. maybe expand the map abit if it's still able i know the map would be bigger. but since you got all these quests it's just to small..

the persian leutnant quest he spawns randomly or does not spawn at all.

The army move/escort quest they dont move at all they just stand infront of sparta and doing nothing. so if i try to fail the quest by killing the horses there is missing 1 horse. so only 6 horses spawns that is kinda lame =).

the quest where you have to go back to sparta and recruit the remaining soldiers does not work either. i have no idea how to recruit them or who i must speak to that should also be fixed..

the quest where you must prevent the persian to land reinforments from the sea is also bugged.. no matter what we do there still aint enough of time. the timer should be increased with 1 or 2 more minutes since it's a long walk from the arcadian camp + when you have survived the reinforments from the sea it cannot be completet no matter what have been in the game for like 20 min and keep killing persians without any luck and can't fail it either..

also the quest where you have to protect the temple is also bugged.
the units are either stuck at the caves and keep coming i've been fightning them for like 10-15 min and they still come got tired of the quest so i killed the temple my self to fail it. and the units do not always come to sparta they run around sometimes also just to be anoying..

the quest where you have to wait for the builders to rebuild the wall outside sparta is also bugged after you got 60/60 the keey repair it so i get the quest completet like 5-10 times extra gives free xp + mass spawns of wolfes and like 100 horses to the quest move/escort the army is very bugged..

the quest villager convoy is also bugged.. if you are lucky the villager comes to the river and quest update says villager arrived to the river and it just keep saying that but there is no limit on the quest on how many you need and at the arrival point they suddenly start to block each others so all can't arrive at that place.

the quest building the flesh wall have very low drop chance.. sometimes i can kill like 20 before they drop 1. and the persian that spawns we need to kill for them aint enough. so you should increase the number of persians who spawns and increase the drop chance a little.

well that was pretty much about the quest now about the other problems =)

sometimes i can pick up more than 1 sword so i can run around with like 1hammer and 1 axe and 1 sword. same goes for armor sometimes i can run around with 2 heavy shield if ican lucky to find it.

and what about the fury/salary points? this is still a beta ofc. and i also think there needs a shop or something

jump bash kill allies very easy also. and i think you should do so you can't attack your allies since i've played with some smart (kids) that think it's funny to kill other players to take their stuff also a shame with that behave sometimes..

last thing i almost forgot that.. i can only come to chapter 2 only since there is so many bugs still i cannot make it to chapter 3 at all.. but a great game indeed. and increase the persians spawn units abit also it's way to easy i want to feel like this is survival not stealing candy from kids...

hope this will give you some work the next few weeks =), i just can't wait for the next beta update it's a great game love it.

found a new bug again :D, after the flesh wall quest. when the immortals quest starts. it suddenly start to lag.. and i mean serius bad lag. can't even move my mouse or write or anything. something have gone wrong at that quest i think :D,

jesus this game has alot of bugs in it.
First i was doing the kill the base thingy i killed all 45 buildings and......waited......and waited.....and waited.....we sat around for about 7 minutes and said fuck this.
remade the game we were doing the escort mission. you know get them across the bridge. 4 died. so 12/16 made it. the mission never ended. yet agian waited and waited and waited.

The search for the spys has to be the gayest mission ever. just go stand in front of the main entrance to the city and they come and attack you. no searching necessary.

The save load system is total shit. I always test out save load systems before anything else. i got on single player alone. said save/load was disabled. restarted mission with 1 comp player. OMG I CAN SAVE AND LOAD NOW! and it works on bnet!

On top of that the terrain is horrible.

I have enough exp to unlock some classes but it wont let me! man thats cool!

And on top of THAT the starting cinematic was stupid as hell. i saw people running thru buildings... someone ran out of the "bottomless pit" i meen come on really?

1/5 and vote for rejection this is the kind of map i would expect to see on epicwar

Another thing is there isnt enough time to get to quests. i did the kill the bandit quest. RIGHT after it ended escort the convoy started. by the time i got there 4 of the people had already died becuase half the bandits didnt come to the entrance to the city. They just sat and patrolled RIGHT were the convoy was traveling so when i got there there was like 15 bandits attacking the convoy.

Well i never claimed i was going to be easy. and as far as the please post bugs on the other site.....if you dont want people to post bugs and glitches here dont upload it here.

imho this map is far from beta with as many mistakes, glitches, and bugs as it has. This is more like an alpha. and until i see any changes to the contrary i still say 1/5 and vote for rejection.

I tried this map on BNET with maybe seven other people, and I have to honestly say, it wasn't particularly any good. I mean, it was an interesting idea, and the trigger and all seemed to work fine, but something about the overall execution was missing from this map, would've been as great as the original and very simple 300 map >.<

please add a ranged hero too many of my freinds and other people i played wit wanted a ranged hero realy much. i tink you could make many people happy by making a ranged hero.
but some people could ofc get annoyed or worse.

The experience glitch is IN FACT a problem. Me and "darkmuch" one of the kids i commonly play with noticed this too.

There's no xp gain in 1.05 for some reason, we posted this on your forums, but no response >.<

I played this with my friend LAN and we weren't gaining any xp even if we do all those missions correctly it even said all players gain 100 XP but we didn't even get a point T.T

Hey i knonw this Epic map isnt finished but i think its really Awesome, a great and cool idea, its the best Rpg Medieval 300 style map in the web and believe me i saw a lot of maps of 300.
Can you update it 2 a new version 2 fix the actual bugs and the unfinished features?
Please we all like this map, its epic and you are awesome dude!
