Changelog:
All Updates
  • V.1.6. Update - The issue where the maps "loading screen color" was dark blue was fixed. Both Nazgrel and Thrall have received brand new models. Nazgrel's hero class is now "Frostlord", while in cinematics their titles will display. Players can no longer spam texts when clicking on a single unit. The seconds until you can speak to another unit is raised for 15 seconds.
  • V.1.5. Update - The Narrator has received new lines and sounds voiced by Divine Arms, while some old remained due to the fact they didn't have to be changed. The Peon Worker that worked during cinematics will now work after the cinematics to remove the Peon Working sound annoyance it causes. The two wolves that appear not far from the first orcish encampments now fight alongside the gnoll scout the players encounter. A prison has been added in their old area with a paladin prisoner within it.
  • V.1.4. Update - Upgraded the whole and entire map. The terrain has received a grand and huge overhaul. My newest mode called Scoreboard has been added and enemy shout sounds are now heard from the Forest Trolls on occasion. Nazgrel's abilities have all changed and fit his Bone Crushing title. Thrall has received a new wolf skin and can no longer dismount. Thrall has receive a new passive ability "Raw Essence" that fits him better in the elemental style, while Nazgrel has received "Howling Blast" and "Icy Reach" to signify his "Frostwolf Clan" heroism. Two new Horde camps can be seen in the game now and Horde outlying farmsteads along the road. Each unit of the New Horde in the map can be talked to by being clicked on and important characters such as Samuro and Drek'thar are featured as well. Medivh has received a hero glow. Many hints have been upgraded, while new were added. The whole map has a huge road now and it looks more Lordaeron-ish. There are ruins of Human structures everywhere signifying the Orcs battle with them and the takeover of some of their encampments which the player will witness. The New Horde have received a whole new and brand looking look.
  • V.1.3. Update - Updated Map Intro. Added colors, more info to it, and some information to ensure one doesn't get lost. Fixed a tiny issue with the war3mappreview file.
  • V.1.2. Update - Both heroes will now start with no spells and will receive them later on during the game. A guide has been added for their Constant Passive Abilities which can be learned at the Golem's section. Also, Thrall's Mount and Dismount Ability has been re-modified. He can now choose between Siege-Mode and Hero-Mode.
  • V.1.1. Released - If there are any bugs. Will update.
Information: A remake of the Exodus of the Horde campaign with my own ideas, systems, and other various custom material added made for 2Players specifically. The plan of my campaigns are usually to make both players special in some sort of a way. For example: Both having their own units, structures, upgrades, and more. To make the Campaign maps harder to play and more interesting. This campaign will be upgraded, for I was a noob back then when I first did it. Everything will change, nearly, and my latest features will be added. This map is originally made by Blizzard Entertainment for Warcraft 3: The Reign of Chaos Campaign's called Exodus of the Horde. However, in the beta Blizzard removed some of it's content. Sounds were removed, since they were only made for english. However, here you will get to experience them and you must understand english, of course. This map features also my new sort of difficulty. Hints that are meant to be divided are and will only display on the screen to the player who requires it. Quests shall now reward both heroes of both players and the enemy sides will be more harder in "Hard Mode" to defeat. Description of the Player's Armies:
Player 1 plays with Warchief Thrall "Go'el", son of Durotan and the Warchief of the New Horde who has received a vision from a mysterious Prophet who he will follow on his journey to discover what the future holds for his people. Nazgrel is a top chief commander of the Warchief's security force in the region, but also one of his most loyal followers since he hails from the Frostwolf Clan. Get to experience an exciting journey together.
Description of the Wild Wanderers:
Something has disturbed the Wanderers of the region. Recent bandits across the sea had landed off the shore near the orc encampments and the orc villagers are trying to handle the situation. An Ogre is refusing to step down from his warmongering, but the biggest question is why the animals in the region are being hostile. The Spirits are upset and perhaps it is because of this connection? Unravel the mystery... The Gnolls and Murlocs have always been hostile to outsiders. Will the New Horde have any issues with them? They shouldn't...
Description of Enemy Shout Sounds:
My newest feature to my type of a 2Player Campaign maps. The Enemy Shout sounds are heard by normal units and heroic units of the enemies. When a Ghoul or Necromancer spawn. A sound will be heard from each of them. For example. If a Crypt finished training a Crypt Fiend. He'd spawn and a sound would be heard playing from him that goes like "For the Spider Kingdom!". When the Necromancers cast spells. They will shout words at you that will be heard like sounds. Such as "Tremble before the Scourge!". Many heroes do this as well and play their own various sounds. Each enemy now seems more special then before.
Description of Player's Scoreboard:
Scoreboard is a feature added for my campaign type maps. As a War is being Crafted within the game. The Scoreboard follows whether the player missed or accomplished all the goals needed to be done. These goals will commonly be about completing the war by destroying all enemy armies as possible, bosses, and finding secrets within the map. If the hero doesn't find the secret, or accomplish a single goal he/she had to do. The information of what they failed or completed will display in the end of the map.
Description of Select Unit:
Select Unit is a feature I added long ago within the "By Demons Be Driven" map on the Hive Workshop. If some played my map before and clicked on the white wolf in the map, they will entirely know what this is. The Select Unit feature is about selecting friendly nearby units that will then reply in a text message to you. Usually greeting you, telling you something you might want to know, and basically making them seem quite alive. When one unit is selected, it will take 2.50 seconds in order to talk to another village/townsfolk again.
Credits:
The credits go to Blizzard Entertainment for making the map in the first place.

Nice map, though it resembles a lot the original one. Here is my review anyway:-

- In the initial cinematic, I see the circle of power and the banner. Not good
- What is the importance of dismount to Thrall if it doesn't give any advantage? It's a nonsense ability
- In the final cinematic, Nazgrel is once hidden by a tree and sometimes he comes at the borders of the camera

SUGGESTIONS:-
- Hide the circle of power and the banner in the initial cinematic
- Let dismount give an advantage and disadvantage when used, like increased movement and/or attack speed but lesser HP
- Nazgrel should be clearly seen in the final cinematic even if he isn't the main character
- More innovative changes because it's too similar to the original map

OVERALL RESULT:-
To conclude, this map is far too similar to the original map. I'll give it 3/5 and vote for APPROVAL!

Don't want be rude, but this map should be simple, what could be add in this map since Blizzard has made it for teach the players how to play the campaign... don't have many things to do in additional. He just made this for have all the maps in 2-player, and for story as well.

Anyway, good map xD

Don't worry, you've not been rude.
Anyway, here is a list of new things that could be added:-
1- Instead of Forked Lightning, a custom ability would be better
2- The terrain could be improved with some custom trees and plants
3- Custom creeps like Gnoll Overlord, Murloc Pillager, Forest Troll Shaman etc...

There are much more new things that could be added, that's why my rating is 3/5

- Let player 1 control Nazgrel and his troops in case the map is played solo

As stated above. Won't change much so that it can remain Blizzard's originality. Such as. The circle and the flag are always visible. As Blizzard wanted and left them to be. But I guess I could hide and unhide them.

Purpose of mount and dismount - Because some people enjoy Thrall dismounted. Meh.

Player 2 Cinematic - He serves as a general and Thrall plays some more importance in the cinematic then him. I wanted the cinematic to focus more on Thrall and Medivh himself.

You can control Nazgrel and his troops if you're in singleplayer. That's why I made a guide in game and /AForce and /AVision command. Please use them and try.

As for your request of changed. Who would please you all with what you like? But I guess I could update the terrain a tiny bit. Anyway, your welcome for playing.

Don't worry, you've not been rude.
Anyway, here is a list of new things that could be added:-

1. This is a Blizzard like. So don't expect a custom ability with triggers.
2. Agreed. But with no custom imported. I don't want the filesize bigger. Or perhaps not. Because I want it to remain as blizz made it. Blizz like.
3. Then the campaign wouldn't be passable. Trust me with that one and it will also loose Blizzard's blizz like originality.

Nothin' need be changed, mount is cosmetic and everything else should be loyal to the original, as it is just the same campaign, with a added possibility and lore for the two players to experience.

All right guys, you convinced me to raise my rating to 4/5,
For the ability, I didn't mean one with triggers, just a simple one different from original
And when I say new creeps, I don't mean super strong ones. However, an ability like Dismount which serves for no purpose isn't a good idea. I agree that some people prefer Thrall dismounted, but still a useless ability should never be present.
I'd also like to say that keeping too many things similar to original will let people feel few differences in the map, that's why I strongly suggest to put more new things. That's all, it's still a well done map and I enjoyed it anyway.

What's your problem Mr.Shadow??? I don't care about your defeat comment. It's still a 5/5 rating. IT IS INTENDED TO RESEMBLE THE ORIGINAL MISSION BUT WITH A MORE INTENSE GAMEPLAY!

Calm down dude. What's the matter if I give this 4/5? People have different opinions, so if you give 5/5, others might give other ratings. I've already seen a map with ratings of 5/5 and 2/5, strange right?
Defeat comment? That wasn't a "defeat comment"!

Calm down. And just a note, Shadow Fury. It's like you are comparing your ratings with Heinvers that made him provoked. Please do avoid so in the future:

All right guys, you convinced me to raise my rating to 4/5, but not to 5/5 Mr.Heinvers

Remove the one I placed in bold font. This can provoke the user.

Anyway, my review will be coming up so good luck to you Pyraeus.

EDIT: Played the campaign and I can see that a new hero which is Nazgrel is present in the map. It looks good and because that it is a 2 Player Campaign, it provides more teamplay into this. I agree to stay true and original to the map and thus not overloading it with custom stuffs but one thing is that Thrall's skill to change into his mounted and unmounted form looks useless. I would suggest you to give bonuses incases of movespeed and stats when he is mounted and normal stats and movespeed when unmounted. Maybe, it would be great also if you will make Thrall completely unmounted at the start but you can let him mount to improve overall capabilities. You should also lessen the spells that Nazgrel has into the amount of what Thrall has (2 to 3 spells only) since as we all know that this campaign is a demo one.

Though I like that /AVision and /AForce command. Pretty useful that you can control 2 players even in SP.

I will rate this 4/5 and Approved.

Wow, a remake of a tourial. FREAKING ANWSOME!!!

This should be useful for any 2 newcomers to Warcraft who want to learn together. If you guys know any 2 new guys to Warcraft, send them this.
Edit: Shadow Fury's review wasn't that so useful, I have to agree with the other guys.
It's meant to be very similar to the original one, but with a few touches and a dash of two player madness.
Also, giving a map a "custom" something doesn't make it all that better. You keep on going on and on with the custom stuff.
No offense though, I just really, really disagree.

Oh dear, seems like I created my first disaster review :/
At least not everything I said is untrue and unuseful. Yeah maybe putting custom stuff is bad because it increases filesize and perhaps it's better to keep everything similar to original.

You guys (including Hell_Master, excluding Shadow Fury) are all very liberal.

First of all I want to comment about the comments made earlier that suggest custom abilities and shared unit control. The way I see this, the idea of the map is to offer players the option to play together the Warcraft 3 Tutorial. It's not about custom stuff or differentiation from Blizzard's original. Simple as that.

Moving on: No offence to the mapmaker, but this map does not deserve a rating higher rating than 3/5 in any way. Shadow Fury seemed the only one to note this, but he quickly changed decision based on few comments which is disappointing.

The map is an edit of an existing Warcraft 3 map. Only few ability changes and minor coding done to it to support 2 players. And you give that 4/5?

I am sorry, Hell_Master is my friend, but he is way too liberal and kind to others.

This map has a rating of 4/5. Noone here can convince me in ANY way that the linked map is equally good to what we have here.

To the person saying this map deserves 5/5. No, my friend. This deserves 5/5. Probably months have been invested in it. A unique environment, abilities, lore and characters created from scratch. And this 2-player map? It's an edit. Nothing more, nothing less, nothing special.

Most of you are all fairly new here, but I remember when maps had to be pretty damn good, only to be approved. To get 5/5 you actually had to work hard and make a high quality project. Now moderators throw high ratings here and there like candy.

I don't mean to offend the mapmaker, nor his map. Contributing to the Hive in any way is always welcome. What I am disappointed at is how the criterias for moderating maps have greatly dropped and how easily high ratings are given nowadays.

I worked on my map (Sunken City) for more than a year just to get ANY rating, and when I did it was 4/5. At that time I had invested more than 1,5 years in it. To get 5/5 I worked hard for another year.

To Mr.Heinvers who goes around, shouting in full caps about 5/5 ratings: Fellow, Heinvers. When you invest enough time in a map (Talking about unique map of your own, that you created from scratch, not an edit) and work hard on it and you understand how hard it is to get a rating of 5/5, only then you can start crossing others and shoving your opinion at them in full caps.

EDIT: To Shadow Fury. No, friend. You gave the most accurate rating, which in my opinion (as a mapmaker for almost 4 years) should be the final one. (3/5)

EDIT 2: I would personally give this 3/5, only because people could find it interesting to play the tutorial with a friend.

There are 2 players map around here in hive which has been rated as 4/5 like of TheSpoon's campaign but maybe there are much more work in here.

And also, there are nothing more of a change that can be acceptable here without actually making everything SO custom which defeats the purpose of creating a 2 player map of a campaign but still maintaining its lore and contents at some ways.

But maybe terrain improvements are possible with imported files and such..

To be honest, I did not judge the map through how long it is being played but on the bugs I can found on the game but maybe I could also consider what you said.

Thanks for that long wall of text. That can help me improve in some ways as a moderator to be honest.

There are 2 players map around here in hive which has been rated as 4/5 like of TheSpoon's campaign but maybe there are much more work in here.

I witnesed the birth of TheSpoon's campaign and it was innovative for its time. It brought save/load system and a way to transfer data from one map to another. That's quite the accomplishment... making it deserve 4/5.

And also, there are nothing more of a change that can be acceptable here without actually making everything SO custom which defeats the purpose of creating a 2 player map of a campaign but still maintaining its lore and contents at some ways.

But maybe terrain improvements are possible with imported files and such..

I never said it should be customized. Just the opposite - it should remain as it is originally made by Blizzard. I'd also skip the imports.

To be honest, I did not judge the map through how long it is being played but on the bugs I can found on the game but maybe I could also consider what you said.

Thanks for that long wall of text. That can help me improve in some ways as a moderator to be honest.

The way I remember it, a bugfree map was getting approved. And that's what mapmakers actually aimed for - approval. Getting a rating was an accomplishment, you had to work for it and deserve it, no matter what the rating was going to be. You give a bug-free map 3/5.

Now, I am just a user and you are the moderator. I cannot judge you, nor your methods. I will never qualify to be moderator, but you did. However, I am a mapmaker and I've seen how things were... I went through Hell to get approval. Worked hard to get rating. And then worked even harder to improve that rating until I reach the maximum rating. Took me 3,5 years.

You guys make your own conclusions. Peace.

Look spaorc. I gave my rating of what I thought this map is worth after playing it! I haven't crossed other people's opinions. So before criticizing me look at arguments I brought! No offense but skip the Mr. part!

Hmmm...

What's your problem Mr.Shadow??? I don't care about your defeat comment. It's still a 5/5 rating. IT IS INTENDED TO RESEMBLE THE ORIGINAL MISSION BUT WITH A MORE INTENSE GAMEPLAY!

I think that's crossing of Shadow Fury. Anyways, that's meaningless topic (the crossing stuff) that I do not intend to discuss any further.

If this map is worth your 5/5 rating, then I wonder what actual maps with 5/5 should have?

I think you don't understand what it's all about. You may like a map - yes. But you must be constructive and accurate. Also respectful to other maps.

By giving this map 5/5 you directly disrespect the hard work of others that made their own maps and worked hard on them. People that did not make edits. I also like many maps out there and I am a fan of them. But I would rate them appropriately via the Hiveworkshop rating system that is offered here.

Seriously, this past years, the map reviewing became more of a competition for reviewers instead of just reviewers helping the author. No offense but it really looks like that.

But just to keep this short, rating a map is affected by personal taste and opinion and there are users who uses constructive points and facts. You really can't blame a guy rating a map with a high mark even though you think it should only receive low mark even though you even made solid points because the guy rated the map base on his taste. Actually you shouldn't even bother arguing because its pointless and take this from a guy who is part of a forum where a single stuff receives hundreds and thousands of user ratings and trying to argue with their rating be it base on their taste or constructive criticism is simply futile.

I believe you are right. I am just bothered by the fact that people throw high ratings here and there. That way high ratings loose their purpose and weight. That way a great map becomes equal with a map in which no more than 3-4 hours have been invested.

I apologise if I disrespected the personal opinion of anyone in this thread.

Ratings in my honest opinion are for motivating users to do better for their work but though there might be slight chances that they may abuse the way they make lo quality maps.

Let's just say that we are to help and not about the rating so let's stop this talk about rating before the thread gets clogged up with many discussion unrelated to the map.

And I do hope so that this simple post of mine won't start one. Will be my last post with this unrelated stuff also.

DON'T CONTINUE A FLAME WAR AFTER THIS. IT IS JUST MY GENERIC OPINION AND A COMMENT TO ALL OF YOU HERE. YOU WONT CHANGE MY OPINION, BUT ONLY REPEAT YOUR OWN WORDS. THANK YOU.

In my opinion. You people started to argue because I made a map out of one of Blizzard's original map. Making it for two players. You have been so caught up in your own world of custom stuff and "maxed out to the end" stuff such as the one the spaceorc believed deserves a 5/5. A map filled with custom things. But that wasn't the point of rating. The point of rating was on how much people enjoyed playing your map and not the other way around. I respect people who made it out of scratch and they deserve a 5/5. But for example if I earned a 5/5. You'd know I earned it out of a edit, while the person who earned 5/5 out of making a scratch would be well known and respected in this community. There is a difference between scratch maps and edit, but I never seen a rule that disallowed 5/5 rating for either of them. The point is that your argues are indeed invalid to both understand and enjoy a gameplay. The same way how my argument is invalid to try and make you understand. In conclusion. I bid you farewell and will no longer try arguing.

P.S: Please, if you wanna continue this flame war. Rather do it on my personal page. I will gladly bear to argue with you there then here. You are just giving my map a bad name due to your invalid arguments.

Presentation

Max Score : 70 [+30 Bonus Pts]
Description fulffills all of the requirement for a map.
Models/Skins aren't credited for each person, only THW, Blizzard and WC3C are mentioned, please credit each person you use their models or skins. [-3 Pts]

Score: 67/100

Triggers

Max Score : 80 [+20 Bonus Pts]
In beginning, even by typing a-easy I still get easy mode (I think) and the game begins. You need to ensure people only type -easy and nothing else to ensure no random issues happened, same applies to AForce and AVision commands. [-10 Pts]
Some of the triggers are leaky, but since this one is based on Blizzard Campaign Map, I won't really put it into issue, but I recommend clean them to make the map run faster and smoother, some of them are blizzard mistake, but all of them should be purged however. [-40 Pts]
The rest are pretty much good, no issues with Gameplay, map also seems to be lag free in my case. [+5 Pts]

Gameplay

Pretty much the gameplay are similar to the original campaign map, there's nothing much of a difference however, I was expecting some more content than the current. 2P and Nazgrel + Warlock addition seems good enough for me however. [+5 Pts]

Well i liked this map. Maybe it is just exodus but still there are some changes, it is a bit harder than the original one.
also i liked the hero modification of Nazgrel, and the mount/dismount possibility of thrall, it looks also interesting seeing thrall finally without a wolf :p
+ for integrating sound voice for nazgrel during the cinematics, it makes the dialogues still realistic without causing any mistakes.
the only thing i would change is the difficulty. its harder, yes, but maybe more creeps and it would be best for me.
best regards mate
