Hyperfocus on specific areas. This is also like the 50th marine I've attempted to sketch, so you get a feel for placement after a while. This is is by far the best, mainly because I'm going all in or all out, kinda.

Good question. I currently have 4 reference pictures:

Raynor poster image (the one where he's all valiantly standing in a marine suit)
Mercenary War Pig portrait image from in-game
Tychus statue picture
Tychus picture from cinematic

Last picture is pretty badass in my opinion. Though, not sure what I am going to do since the picture is almost done...

If anyone has a suggestion for a mod to add to the marine (e.g a sticker somewheres or what not) feel free to suggest. I may or may not listen to you.
I was going to do a little hidden easter egg sticker that says Hiveworkshop or something ^.^ Not sure where though...

Add some coloured designs to it, it's all black. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's looking quite nice, but it's boring because it's all the same colour. When I work with large artworks, I call this stage the BASIC of which I would do a few different designs on for finished artworks. Getting to BASIC is the most daunting task, it's where you take care of proportions, anatomy and general design. What remains is the fun part. Experiment, have fun.. make him your own.
