Map Info:

Experience the Dota 2 Pudge Gameplay on Warcraft 3. In Pudge Hook Wars, play as Pudge the Butcher with Dota 2 Graphics, Sounds and certain Items. Kill other players with your infamous Meat Hook as they roam the map.


Players start with 2 Abilities (Meat Hook and Dismember). Abilities can be learned upon buying from the Abilities Shop which includes the "Rot" ability that allows you to perform the Pudge Standard 'Meat Hook - Rot - Dismember' Combo.

There are also items that modifies your Pudge's Meat Hook (Hook Modifiers) such as Hook Lifesteal, Rupture Hook, Flaming Hook, Freezing Hook. Activating Hook Modifiers will change the appearance of your Meat Hook as seen below in the Screenshots. Meat Hook Damage, Range and Cooldown can also be permanently upgraded.

Lastly, Runes appear in the map every minute except the first two minutes. These Runes (Hook Damage, Invisibility, Vision, Speed, Lightning, Vitality, Gold) are very useful and can define the outcome of the clash. It is recommended to store them in a Magic Bottle for timely use.

- Game Modes:

* FREE FOR ALL: All Players are your enemies. Required number of kills to win can be from 15 to 100.
* TEAM DEATH MATCH : Player1 to Player6 are allies, Player7 to Player12 are allies. Required number of team kills to win can be from 30 to 200.

- Hook Modes:

REAL HOOK MODE: (Dota 2 Meat Hook)
* Meat Hook is a Hero Ability with 4 levels.
* Hook Range is 1000/1100/1200/1300.
* Disables Pudge during Forward Motion of Meat Hook.
* Meat Hook Cooldown is 14/13/12/11 seconds.
* No curve motion and does not catch unit during retraction.
* Grants 500 vision upon hooking a unit.
* Damage Type is PURE.

CLASSIC HOOK MODE: (Pudge Wars Meat Hook)
* Hook Range is upgradable via Shop and Leveling.
* Meat Hook Cooldown is upgradable via shop (9/8.5/8/7.5/7 seconds).
* Curve motion and can catch unit during retraction.
* Hook chains have 500 vision.
* Damage Type is MAGICAL.
In Classic Hook Mode,
* Hook Range increases by 50 at level 5, 10, 15, 20.
* Dismember Damage increases by at level 9 and level 18.​
- Optional Modes:

"-unhide" : Removes Invisibility of Black Market.
"-gold" : Change starting Gold to 1000.
"-onehit" : Initial Meat Hook Damage is 9000.

- An alternative and fun way to master Pudge's Meat Hook Skill.
- Obtaining certain passive Items shows an attachment graphic effect (e.g. Aghanim's Scepter).
- Contains Hook Modifier Items which add effects to Meat Hook (e.g. Rupture Hook).
- 6 Different Runes spawn every minute except the first two minutes (e.g. Rune of Vision).
- 8 Buy-able Abilities that makes your Pudge unique to others and fits your gamestyle (e.g. Swarm of Flies).
- Strategic Items such as Observer Wards, Sentry Wards and Smoke of Deceit.
- Includes famous Dota Items like Blink Dagger, Force Staff, Blade Mail and many more.
- A good human-like AI which can also be commanded if an ally.
- Dota 2 Graphics which includes Models, Textures, Icons, UI, Terrain, Doodads and Dota 2 Sounds.
- AI Difficulties:

* Easy AI takes normal experience and gold. It has a poor Hook Targeting Accuracy.
* Normal AI takes normal experience and gold but has a Human-Like Hook Targeting Accuracy.
* Insane AI takes extra experience and gold and has an impossibly insane Blind Hook Target Guess but has a Human-Like Hook Targeting Accuracy.

*New Item "Freezing Hook" which creates a path of ice that blocks pathing and vision.
*New Ability "Living Parasite" which deals damage based on the damage taken by the infected unit.
*Rune of Vision temporarily blinds Observer Wards (including Greater Observer Wards) of all enemies

*Player's Pudge can now be easily identified by the arrow indicator overhead.




Main:
* Players will no longer respawn near enemy Pudge unless it cannot be prevented.
* Casting Hook no longer disables Blink Dagger but limits Max blinking range to 400.
* New Item "Smoke of Deceit" which gives invisibility and bonus movement to self and allies within 1000 radius. Invisibility and bonus movement is lost upon moving within 900 of an enemy Pudge.
* Rune of Invisibility provides additional buff that makes your hook 80% transparent for 35 seconds.
* Hook LifeSteal now has an active Ability that gives a greater LifeSteal percentage depending on the Hitting Distance.
* Rupture Hook now has an active Ability that will reduce the Strength of the dragged unit depending on the distance. Dragged unit loses 1 Strength per 75 distance traveled.
* Meat Hook speed (1600) matches with Dota 2.
* Pudge movespeed (285) and turn rate (0.7) matches with Dota 2.
* Pudge Hook Radius (100) and Collision Size (24) matches with Dota 2.
* Pudge Cast Duration (0.3 + 0.51) and Attack Animation (0.5 + 1.17) matches with Dota 2
* Pudge Starting Attributes (25 Str, 14 Agi, 14 Int) matches with Dota 2. Attribute growth changed to +3 Str, +1 Agi, +1.5 Int per level.
* Pudge Sight Radius changed to Day: 1500 / Night: 800.
* Added Tips system which helps new players learn about the map, gameplay and items by displaying important tips. Tips are displayed upon typing "-tips".
* Optimized (less lag and lesser file size)

* AI will no longer fight when it is at a disadvantage.

Pudge Hook Wars v2.6 + AI is now available.


If you found any bugs, please tell me so that I can update the map here in the database so that other hive users will no longer experience the bug.

Anyway, here are my current ideas for v2.7. If the list ever increase, I will start working on v2.7 in the next month.


- complete dota 2 icons remake
- add a hero abilities that upgrades stats when learned: (+50 hook dmg, 3 levels, + 100 hook range, 3 levels, + 2 to All Stats, 5 levels, additional damage to dismember, 2 levels)
- better ai chasing heroes
- better ai hooking skill
- complete item models when dropped
- change smoke effect
- change aghanim's held effect (use cosmetic item attach to left hand)
- change heart held effect (use the red glow in chest)
- change boots effect
- change hood effect (use a cosmetic item)
- new item "power threads"
- change interface icon (strength symbol)
- change force staff effect to match dota 2
- change blade mail and magic wand effect to match dota 2
- more item variety for ai

My Friends gets wierd, because they can't find the Sacrifacial Blood. But, I manage to find it. The Sacrifacial Blood is the Blood of Rejuvenation. Can you change it?

They have both same hotkeys. The Dismember, and the Rot. After I use the command -ch, I still dont have the Rot skill. When I have it, they both have same hotkeys. Even, I use the command -ch again, it's still same.

Thanks for all the help with finding bugs. I will change the map description to include users that help find bugs in the credits section when im on my pc.

@Lacky: Btw, you KDA is 24/3/2. Is it too easy? And how many AIs did you play with? Is it 6v6?

I already fix it, as well as automatically changing the hotkey automatically when Meat Hook and Dismember has finished cooldown when "-ch" command is typed earlier.

EDIT: @LoveSeeker, when I tested it, it works fine for me. I did not even know how Lacky's screenshot became like that. Anyway does not affect gameplay and it does not bother me that it looked like that (Lacky's Screenshot)

For me, it's easy, but slight hard, that's why I have 3 deaths. Yeah, it's 6vs6. I already have technique, MWAHAHA!

Do you playing on making other Heroes Wars with the A.L the difficult one like Chen,Shadow Fiend,Meepo,Invoker,Mirana or KOTL (lol mana leak to everyone)

Right now, Im very busy with school stuffs. But as you can see in my signature, my currently developed project is Shadow Fiend Wars. Maybe when Im done with SF, Im thinking between Tinker or Mirana. But that is very far in the future since I also update my Pudge Map.

For v2.7, Im planning to add a mode where the hook is exactly like in Dota 2 such that the caster is disabled for a while (while hook is flying) and the hook moving backwards can no longer catch units.

Not glad to hear it. I always use this trick to KS xD

This is just an additional mode. Basically, the host player can choose between classic hook or real hook. Upon not choosing, classic hook will be chosen by default.
Classic Hook is the hook system in v2.6 where it curves and catch units even at backward motion.
Real Hook is the hook system in Dota 2 which disables Pudge during cast backswing of meat hook and cannot catch unit during back motion.
Well you get the idea.

When someone wins a special event (no. of runes taken, hook accuracy), the event says that I should go to the special shop for an item but when I go there, he doesn't give me anything. (unhide, team 200 mode ai)


I do not understand how meat explosion skill works.

The ice/fire hook doesn't seem that good compared to the rupture hook/lifesteal hook.

You must click the market to receive the glyph. If it does not work, then there maybe a bug that the glyph will suppose to appear (random place close to market) outside the map area that it no longer appears in game. I will investigate and fix it in the next update.

Meat explosion deals additional damage upon hooking a unit when activated. Upon failure to do so, the player will take the damage. The extra dmg is based on how long meat explosion is activated displayed as text overhead.

Planning to balance those hooks in the next update.

This kind of feedback is what drives me to further improve the map. Once im no longer busy, I will continue updating the map. I will also try to place the v2.7 changelog at the time I start working on it.

After the v2.7, I may start doing work on my other map Shadow Fiend Wars.

Some of the skills that I can buy from the shop seems lacking for me. Rot, Corpse outbreak(stun) were the only skills that I found useful when we were playing (3 humans and ai)

The ethereal bile and swarm of flies are pretty useful too in my opinion when your hook damage is really high plus they have a strong slow. The meat explosion is also a great extra damage provided that you are great with hooking. The flesh odor is useful in team death match and enemies with escaping items such as force staff and dagger.

Well each of us have our own gamestyle and that's why I put a lot of abilities there. To suit different gamestyles.

I will try to ask for other people's opinion and balance the gold cost and effect of buyable abilities if necessary.

I wouldn't think changing the entire map is a good idea because if you changed it. We'll not get use to it.

But on the other hand, changing the map and making it into a balance and symmetric way can improve the gameplay to a more balancing pudge hooks wars specially if its in Team Mode :)

Or If you want you can upload 2.7 (balanced) seperate from the ORIGINAL map.

No, i wouldn't say that.. Shadow Flux said that if someone disagree, then comment. I DISAGREE! Shadow Flux... Don't think about what you want... Think about what your fans want.

Then let me rephrase,
I'm planning to change to the terrain of the entire map to make the shops and rune location more symmetric by putting the two shops at top left and bot right while the two rune location at top right and bot left. The black market is still random and the ability shop is still at the middle.

Comment below what you think about this plan of mine. Is it a good idea or not?

I also tested it but I do not have enough time since people (like LoveSeeker) wants to have 2.7 as soon as possible.

- Some icons does not have Dota 2 Graphics
- The AI badly uses its wards.

These bugs can be fix easily (except the last one) but I really need other people to test it right away for better bug finding efficiency.

If all goes well, expect the official v2.7 on 26 April 2015.

I also tested it but I do not have enough time since people (like LoveSeeker) wants to have 2.7 as soon as possible.

It only show, "Player 2 is on killing streak". What happen to the red colorful dust of the Aganhim's Scepter? But I like the new one, it make it more Dota 2-ish, with that. The Rot is wonderful, but the cloud is too big (I think). Oh, it reminds me, when you get hooked, (While using Rot) it gets deactivated. Overall, I didn't find any bugs, and it has a lot of improvement.[/rainbow]

I found another one when you bought the Hook Upgrades, the text should be shown to allies.

To do list:
Fix the killing streak message not shown.
Scale down Rot

Question:
Are you ok with Rot being deactivated when hooked?
About the kill streak message, it is not shown to other players or only that is shown and kill info message is not displayed?

Yup. The only message shown to all players, is the "Player 2 is on killing streak".

Anyway, I have decided to not have an exact upload date since I just do this for a hobby and I don't want to feel like this is a responsibility.

About the sexy female announcer voice, when will that be said? When pudge dies? Is there a voice for that?

EDIT: Found another thing to fix, I forgot to update the credits.
