Problem running 3ds max 5 in Vista (cdilla.dll)

Hi people,

I've recently downloaded 3ds max 5, and I install it as a trial version because I don't have the CD-Key (will get one later).

The problem is, after the installation, whenever I click to open the application, I get the following error messages:

''Error: loading cdilla.dll !!''

and right after

''The software licensing system was unable to select a license. [Error 5]''


I've got 2 friends who downloaded the same exact file and got it to work, but they're both working with Windows XP. That's what makes me think it's maybe a Vista problem, given that I use on Vista.

Any answers will be appreciated, I'm waiting for a savior D:

In vista you can open the properties of the exe file select the "Compatibility" tab and check the "Run this program in Compatibility mode" select Windows XP.

If that doesn't work, sorry than I don't know, wait until Windows 7 is RTM ?
