the model you have is not the right model for high quality loading screen.

high quality loading screen uses 4 textures instead of one which, combined, from a 1024x768 picture. The difference is both in quality and file-size of this one will take about 3 times the size of the low-quality one.

i recommend you to follow this tutorial

apparently the download link for the high quality loading screen model in there is not working anymore. so you might need modeller help if you can't do it by yourself or someone that have the model for the high quality loading screen.

I thought the 512*512 pixel limit only applied to blp files? Have you just tried sticking in a 1440*1080 tga file?

Do note that 1920*1080 is kind of pointless seeing how WC3 is currently a 4:3 game. Until proper wide screen support is added one should not be playing at resolutions like 1920*1080 (16:9) but instead 1440*1080 (4:3) so that everything in game appears correctly proportioned. The difference is quite substantial since at 1440*1080 all in game buttons are correctly square as opposed to 1920*1080 where they are rectangular.
