  • Fully voice acted
  • Multiple puzzles and quests to solve
  • Four difficulty levels
  • Custom graphics
  • Mechanics similar to standard Warcraft III — Little learning curve

Sequel – Gnoll Campaign: Return to Yeenador
Sound Mind Games has released a sequel to the Dwarf Campaign called Gnoll Campaign: Return to Yeenador. You can download it using the following link:
Gnoll Campaign (Voice Acted)

Required Warcraft III Version
Warcraft III: Reforged, Patch 1.35.0 or later (SD graphics)

Installation Instructions

As of Warcraft III: Reforged, patch 1.35.0, you can install the campaign as follows:

Windows
  1. Download DwarfCampaign-v7.w3n from the Hive Workshop (using the big download button)
  2. Copy DwarfCampaign-v7.w3n to Documents\Warcraft III\Campaigns. If the Campaigns folder does not exist, you must create it.
macOS
  1. Download DwarfCampaign-v7.w3n from the Hive Workshop (using the big download button)
  2. Open Finder.
  3. Press and hold the OPTION/ALT key down, then go to the Finder menu in the top menu bar and open the "Go" menu. When you are holding the OPTION/ALT key down, the Library option will appear in the dropdown menu. Click "Library". Now you are in the Library folder.
  4. Open Application Support → Blizzard → Warcraft III.
  5. Create a "Campaigns" folder, if it does not exist.
  6. Copy DwarfCampaign-v7.w3n to the Campaigns folder.
Playing the Dwarf Campaign
  1. Start Warcraft III: Reforged.
  2. Select Single Player → Custom Campaign.
  3. Select Dwarf Campaign in the file menu.
  4. Click Play Campaign.
Selecting the Right Difficulty
Easy:
If you have been long time away from Warcraft III and you have not honed your skills to play the game lately, please choose the Easy difficulty.

Normal: If you know how the game functions, you are able to use hero abilities effectively, train a good mix of units, and create a good army, but you do not consider yourself as a super-good player, we recommend playing on the Normal difficulty.

Hard: If you are actually pretty good at the game, you can use hero and unit abilities to the maximum effect, you are able to micro units well, you know how to build an extremely effective army, and you know well what different abilities, items, and upgrades do, we recommend that you play on the Hard difficulty.

Very Hard: This difficulty is probably best used when two professional players are playing Chapter 3: Temple of the Old Gods together. It can also be chosen when single players want ultimate challenge.

SPECIAL! Playable as separate map files
You can download the Dwarf Campaign chapters as separate maps from dwarfcampaign.com:
- Chapter 1: Defenders of Dwarvenkind
- Chapter 2: City of the Seven Mithril Golems
- Chapter 3: Temple of the Old Gods (this chapter is also playable by two co-operative players online)

Dwarf Campaign (Campaign)

Reviews
Bob27: An excellent campaign, with a great story, gameplay and terrain. This would have to still be one of my favorite Warcraft III Campaigns. Approved.

Wow I remember this campaign from almost a decade ago when I was all into wc3 and making maps for it. Never thought I'd fone it back after so many years since it has a rather generic title. Definitely going to replay soon!

This was... AMAZING! The story, everything. Oh, I wished it would've been longer. Too short!! Incredible! Only 2 bugs found. The moving animation of the dragon daughter of Alexstrasza (forgot her name) in the last mission, and in the first mission some seconds of missing move animation to some golems. It was an amazing experience. Great job to the guys who did it. All my respect! And the song from the credits, woww!
5/5

For the guys that find this campaign difficult, or they can't get past something, I've made a playthrough with the entire campaign. There is a link with the playlist below:

I logged in just to vote for this campaign, haha ...

One of the best campaigns I had played. Sure, some folks here are correct to say that the maps can be better balanced and so on.

But heck, the most important objective of the campaign was achieved ... I had GREAT fun with it~!

Thanks~! Will go to the campaign's link to see what's in there too. Cheers~! ~_~

Saw Wtii playing this on youtube. Best campaign Ive played yet for WC3. Also seems to have a ton of replay value since it is hard to find all the items, quests and areas.

The ending seems a bit premature. Is there a part II or something?

Does anyone by any chance know if it's possible to do anything about the ghost king in the second mission? I mean, besides stealing his key.

I liked the campaign, but I wish it was more difficult (the game warns you its going to be difficult and it never is with upgraded battle golems and items like CoK, MoD, claws +15, crit strike, etc).

Also, kiking is so easy when no armies are actually actively attacking you. The creeps are idiots, in general, so it needs more CPU attacks while exploring or something.

Finally, I've seen many, many, many cooler spells. There is so, so, so much creative talent/energy in the production here, but the spells are generally standard.

4/5 =O

This was amazing last time I played it. It was something new especially for a WcIII custom campaign. I RECOMMEND it.

I don't know/understand why the user that uploaded it is just not there like it was uploaded by itself or by someone who hid the profile.

Hi guys, this campaign was the first big custom campaign I played after finishing Frozen Throne and I really liked it, but from the posts in this thread I get a feeling that not a lot of people know that there is a separate 1st chapter of this campaign with voice acting, and it can be found on the official site of the Dwarf Campaign.
I completed it after I beat full trilogy. I uploaded my playthrough of it to YouTube in case someone is interested. Go play it yourself too.

Hi! I'm having problems installing this mod. Apparently the downloaded file can't be opened with either 7zip or WinRAR archiver. It says the file might be damaged or something. Any help?

This is no mod or a file to be opened with 7zip or WinRAR.
It's a w3n file (WarCraft campaign file), you have to put it into your "Campaigns" folder in the WarCraft III directory.

Then you can play it under custom campaigns.

In 7 months the only update is a map being renamed? WTF? It's the best campaign I ever played but I have my doubts.

At least they brought site back to life.I'm not into the topic so i don't know.I guess time will tell.I'm afraid that things like Joe quest are already gone and will never return.

I wish they would finish this, but it's been canceled way too long ago

Yes and no.It was cancelled but the team reunited in 2016 and promised to make a sequel.Sadly....the only thing they did in like 10 moths now was revealing the name of chapter 4 and that's about it.

I can confirm that we are currently working on the chapter 4 and it is progressing well, but I cannot yet give any details, since it is not ready. We have one programmer and one 2D artist working for it about 20 hours per week. We trained also one person to use 3ds Max but he is now doing a summer job. Furthermore, a new concept artist / 2D artist is starting a short internship with us next week, and we hope she can do some art that we can disclose at some point.

What I can disclose at this point is that the map will continue story-based dungeon crawl you experienced in chapters 1-3 and it will be playable by 1-4 players, just like Temple of the Old Gods was playable by 1-2 players.

We also plan to add voice acting to Chapter 2, but it depends on the Finnish Employement Office, if they can get the person we want to do the job for internship (there's some bureacracy involved).

This has to be one of the best custom anything ever done in WC3, I just finished it for the first time today. And it's great. Now I understand all those comments about the emerald gate, but lucky for me I had found the other way around (but not the place with the answer to the gaye). I thought it was cancelled, but I read that its going to be continued? Becuase that is awesome!

Actually, all of them are for opening the Emerald Gate. So you need just to know one of them and translate it correctly.

I only fgured out how to open one or two gates if i remember correctly and i saw somewhere a comment about using translations to actually summon Old Gods and fight them,i guess it was fake news.
