How can I make it so when a player types a message, it won't appear in the chat log?

Just for clarification, I want to know how to properly stop a message from being "sent" so it wont appear in the chat log (F12).

I'm not even sure if that does anything period o.o... and it's so messy. I already made it so messages won't display. My problem is making a message not be recorded in the chat log. or log. selected by hitting F12. I'm certain this is possible.

    *Bump*

Anyone have any Idea? I've been looking around to no avail. I'm not certain if this is a script thing or an interface thing o.o

You'll need to save the "forbidden" words inside a string array.
Then you'll have to create an algorithm that checks the entered chat string for words contained within the entered chat string that equals the string array.
This can be done through character positions. You'll need to loop through them. You can then show the filtered chat string to the players.

It's not easy to script this...
I'm sorry but I don't have enough time to do this for you.
Do you have experience with Jass?
It's probably easier doing this in Jass then in GUI.
I can give you guidelines, but that's all I can do for now.

About the chat log: I'm not sure if this is possible, I'll have to look around...

You are probably correct about the chat log here.
But not about the chat message being displayed.

    EDIT: seems like you're incorrect.

It is possible. I dont know how its done through... As example I can give The Thing. There messages are not displayed as chat messages but like system messages and they dont appear in the chat log.

This is not a perfect but its the best i can think of without the editor.simply clear screen from text messages. Yes it will remove other messages too but...

Unfortunately this solution is directly conflicting with the system. Thank you all for your comments, I guess the only true solution for this system is to use OBS chat so no one can see the messages you send privately (Other than you).
