A project i have been working on lately. So far its all playable terrain, its inspired by Skyrim and the book serrie The Black Company, hence the project name. So a medival fantasy map.

Its a strategy 3v3 map, each player will have 2 heros and around 30 units.
Team 1, The black company:
Starts at their militairy warcamp in the south, from there they roam the country trying to capture surrounding strategical points.
Team 2, The dominion:
Starts in a ruined castle in the north, from their ruined castle the mean to dominate the surrounding lands.

The diffrent strategical points need to be captured by occupation, an X amount % of your army needs to be at the location to capture it over an X amount of time. When you capture the location it will give you some options, spawn units/resources/quests and other things which i havent figured out yet.

A large village will need a larger % of your army than a windmill.

The map will have about 10 additional quests other than the main quest which is wipping out the enemy. Every time you play the map will select 3 quests at random, this way the game has some variation every game. The quests give bonus in army/items/resources or whatever i think up later :).

Im very open for suggestions from the public!

UPDATE 10/3/2015:

So i've been updating this project further. In the hidden tag are some screenshots.
To keep it fun for myself im mostly making small focus points that are important and slowely i will be connecting all these dots together to form one big terrain.
The Screenshots are mostly taken from gameplay perspective because its all playable terrain.

Feedback is always welcome, but remember this is for playable terrain and im already at 7.5 mb map size..

Yes, look nice so far, but you really are in need for some custom ground tiles as the normal wc3 ground textures don't match that well with talavaj's doodas in my opinion

here you go, I've already tested some of this tiles with Talavaj's doodads and they fit quite well IMO

NanO's Tiles
more tiles take also a look at the links in Fingolfin's posts

The main village is starting to take more shape.

I've tried to find a nice combination of costum tiles, but most are to bright and dont work with the gritty, somber theme im trying to acomplish.
The search continues..

Well you could just darken them by yourself, use a dark terrain fog or work with a custom DNC-Model. Still nice progress, keep working :)

Its been a while since i've worked on this, i've been sucked into Skyrim + mods lately so work rate has gone down :p

i've imported about 7.5 mb by now, but since everything is so nicely optimized the map size is about 4 mb. so plenty of room left for more new doodads :D

I've included an overview of the map. the big white dot is a place holder for a ruined castle which will be the starting point of team 2. (the doodads still need to be made, or i have to import the ogre_ doodads aswel :p)

EDIT:
Slighty updated first post..

You've got some skills my friend. I like the details, that make a structure stand out and look more realistic. Much better than just sticking pre-built buildings all over the place. Keep up the good work.
