EDIT: I got it to work once, somehow.... These are the only tabs I got up, and doing what you said didnt make another come up.
EDIT2: I seem to have gotten it working again...
EDIT3: WOW! I cant seem to get the brush to ONE PIXEL! IT INSISTS on being that size, I can set it to any other size...

Here's a WIP of my full set. I might change the hair color to black to make him appear more like the druid of the claw.
EDIT: This is my final entry.

So far, these are the best by far, and will most likely get my vote. Caveman Joe, your icons are truly amazing.

Even if your icons aren't too good, you still might have chance at getting a reward. Besides, not many people have entered the competition so far.

Yes, come on people, show us your best, even if you don't win there is still a chance of your work being used as official icons!

And it's the public that decides who wins, many things can quickly change, just look at how the 4th skin competition changed all of a sudden.

All I did in the mountain giant was slop down some gray and did some fast eyes and drew some lines with a 20% transeparent black brush...so yeah it needs work...

I asked in chat and they said purple...IMO purple hair on purple woudnt look good on purple...purple on purple doesnt look right. I just cant seem to find a good green shade for the hair...

Anyways It would be good to give me advise on what to change\add to make them better becaus im not very good at thinking things to add by myself...

For hair I prefer Blue instead of Green.
But Green should work too.

Hows the hair on this one? A little update on the mountain giant, and the "xD" one...
EDIT: The look poor quality, but if you click on them they get better..

Try and get the transparency right. That would improve them a lot.

Im makeing them in one program, then changeing them to transeparent aafter there done in a diff program..

Thought I'd try something with a more dynamic angle.


Its not animated yet but I just wanted some feedback. I've been trying to create a decent Illidan/Demon Hunter smiley for awhile now. Some more Attempts look like this:



I know, I know, alot of them look terrible. Anyway, I think I finally came up with one that looks half decent. Lemme know what you guys think.

I like the first and fourth ones. Their style is a perfect combination between warcraft style and icon style.

What file do they have to be saved as for transparensy to work? (In GIMP)

gif or png. Though I am not sure png images transparency works in all browsers.

You might want to fix that mountain giant HeretoDLstuff ugly, maybe add more detail or look at the origial mountain giant portrait?

Here's the druid morphing into a crow. Unless I edit it or people like it more, I think the bear morphing is going to be my 40x33 entry.

Both the crow and bear morph is of very high quality Joe. Nice stuff.

And you are supposed to make 4 normal icons and 1 big if you wish to do so, Hereto. No more, no less.

But the talon one in might elf form doesn't look like a DotT.

First ones a cat laughing
Second ones a cat looking 2 ways even though you cant see it well
Number 3 is similar but its crossing its eyes
Number four is when you just want to hide
And last ones a night elf standing and hair blowing in the wind

These blue emoticons are not good.Maybe upgrade them a bit?

They look like deformed blobs.

And the word HIDE appearing does not look good. At all.

But its so little space to do it in..

Just pick some random 4 smilies and the thumbs up one, which is the largest.
