Awesome - "Relax beer lovers, here comes the world's first self-chilling beer can"

Link

"London, Jun 3: Beer buffs who generally craves for chilled bottle during the summers can now say cheers, as the world's first self-chilling beer can , which can turn the stuff inside ice cold in just two minutes , will hit the market soon."

This is amazing, even though I don't drink any beer.

The likelihood for it being beer of poor quality seems large to me.

Though I might be slightly confused, is this a self-chilling beer can as in it only comes with one brand of beer, or is it that thing on the picture you actually strap onto any beer cans, in which case it actually would serve to be great for anyone, not only beer lovers.

"Drinks manufacturers are being lined up to use the cans - which are already in use in the USA, and can be used for anything from fizzy drinks to beer."

That answers your questions pmuch.

Well, of course most beers I drink are best poured in room temperature, often into my westmalle chalice with a nice 2 fingers tan head and a strong belgian-type nose.

Stay thirsty my friends.

I saw this kind of a technology presented some time ago, but it didn't have any button gimmicks. You just opened it and some sort of poison turned into gas and at the process chilled the drink.
