I love what you did with the textures on the handle. Great job. I've got no suggestions. I didn't download it though, might do so later and then check it from a close perspective. Did you try attaching it to a unit? For example, an edited Fel Guard?

I used the village rmodel in the background to see where to place the weapon in order for it to appear in his hand as it is supposed to so I just guess it looks good

i like it. but if i imagine myself holding it, then i think it would be quite difficult to balance it. e.g. the one from diablo2 is longer and has metal thingie (counterweight) at the end of it.
but i still like it ^^

its a bit longer than on the pic in the upper view the handle didn't even fit into the picture and you might get fooled by the lower one xD at least the handle is rather long in comparission with the axe
