Sadly u were right, the soviet AI wasn't working.
I noted that mercenaries could not use weapon upgrades aswell.
Im planning an update in earliest a month

The difference between the difficult level appears in percentage resource production, easy AI gains 50%, medium 100% and Insane 200% what speeds up their progress in building up their army. Bots do not have and use special abilities, though a medium bot is slightly worse than a human player.

MMH (makemehost) is a site where you can upload your map and anyone can host to put it up on all Battle.net servers. I can't say it's better, but I can say it's rare to see more than 3 DotA games on it's game list. Popular Makemehost maps are Azeroth Wars, Lordaeron the Aftermath, and a varius RPGs and tag games.

ENT is partnered with it, but they are more DotA centered . ENT also connects to some Garena servers.

BUT! There is a quick way to find/host games on all b.net servers via makemehost.com and entgaming.com

At around morning-afternoon US times those games get filled. Click the game and queue list and select all and you will see auto-host and user hosted games. Feel free to message me back on my profile!
