    Because the Galaxy Editor's learning steep is a long way to the top while the World Editor is simple and StarCraft II is another game whose audience is different.
    If you still need that, it can simply be recoloured.

    I plan not to update the campaign any time soon, but a green version might be useful in the future.
    A first look at the custom UI for my new campaign Of Blood and Honor
    • Inventory allows carrying up to 18 items
    • Items are now used directly with by double-click or on one another (not via dialog like The Last Guardian)

    @everyone The beta for The Last Guardian 2.3.0 is now also available! I was battling some plotstoppers in Chapter 4 (Pillar of Flame not appearing in the tavern) and Chapter 7 (1.heroes never unpause after the teleport/chest battles // 2.time stopped heroes don't drop items). Hopefully those are properly fixed now. New loading screens will be implemented later.

    The beta for Day of the Dragon 3.1.0 is now available!

    Notable changes include:
    • Full voice over (mostly AI generated)

    • Numerous balance changes and bug fixes
    • Limitations and known issues: SD mode only, loading screens not fully implemented/buggy, removed difficulty selection via dialogs

    Question to everyone: What if I included AI voices to my campaigns but they would increase campaign size by around 300MB? Also new loading screens might increase size by another 100MB. Would a downloading a campaign of 500-600MB for SD be okay for you or would you like a separate minified version of around 100-150MB without the new loading screens and AI voices?

    The tool is called xvaSynth. It's free on Steam but many voice models require a premium membership on NexusMods. Unfortunately there aren't many Warcraft voices available (only Tyrande) but I make do with many voices from Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Dragon Age or even Mass Effect.

    The UI is easy to use and you can adjust many things including pitch, length and strength of individual syllabses. You can even add a custom dictionary to add words that are unique to a game, like Lordaeron or Khaz Modan.

    Some voices are great out of the box, others need a lot of tweaking. I didn't bother much with any of that because I would be spending time I don't have.

    There is also a companion tool called xvaTrainer used to train voice models with new voices. I am currently rying to train a model for Thrall, but I got an error in the program so I'm stuck.

    When I heard of the official support for custom campaigns, I immediately thought of how much I'd love to replay your campaigns with HD graphics. Do you have any plans to update the SD custom models with HD ones?
    Your campaigns have always been a favorite of mine (made me read those books for real, The Last Guardian is now one of my all-time favorites <3), and I'm stoked to hear you're working on a new one. I wish you good luck with the project and I hope Reforged treats you better than it has in the past.

    I am thinking about HD versions but I don't have concrete plans. Problem is man yHD assets are missing and would need to be custom made. I would first make a list of available assets and see how many are actually needed. Maybe its not so many...

    I will do a test run of all of my campaigns over the holidays to see what bugs I can report and what changes I need to make to prepare the campaigns accordingly. One thing I can say is, they are probably going to get new HD loading screens. Additionally, all my campaigns will receive a common brand name to show they are part of the same continuity.

    Yes. It was confirmed by others. The workaround would be to keep custom data in each map. Imported files can still be in the campaign.
    Personally I am not going to bother changing my campaigns until issues like these are fixed. I will just play and take note of things I I want to change.

    I just tested the PTR WE just now and it still crashes when I add custom object data. I'll also hold off until these issues are resolved since the unpredictability of the editor can be so frustrating.
    Today I found out Blizzard has started unlocking some menus for custom campaigns on Reforged, and that custom campaigns can already be played on the latest 1.34 PTR; no mods* or splitter required. Right now, there are still plenty of bugs with the UI, but the general hope is that custom campaigns will be implemented with 1.35, maybe even by the third anniversary of Reforged, end of January.

    I am still working with 1.31 and will continue to do so until CCs are officially and fully implemented. Only then I will update all of my campaigns to work with the CCs update and I expect players to update their game as well so we no longer have this versioning mess.

    *some stuff needs to be done with internal files to unlock the menus; but no outside mod required.

    Glad i picked up the 1.31.1 versions before this went live.

    What can i say, i like the pre reforged release client alot more.

    Also a question, apparently 1.31 has a bug where unit specific events will break in the case of saving and loading your game, have you by any chance worked around this issue by using generic unit events instead ?

    Yeah that'd be an awesome thing to have, though i'm not sure if newer patches are going to be more stable or give you more headache to work with and fix. But i lean towards the latter if i had to throw a guess.

    For me, the fact that it seems like they arent going to bother having a classic and HD version of the CC's UI's (not even the overall UI) is already a sign of substandard effort.
    You might be asking, when I am going actually going to announce the project properly with a title, screenshots and list of features. I used to do that around the 40-60% completion mark; so when I knew that the "worst" was behind me and could reasonably estimate the future workload and a release window... This time I will probably be closer to 80%; and I think I am around 30% done right now.
    Hey. I know you want people to be able to play Custom Campaigns in Reforged. I've created a tool called "Campaign Splitter" that makes this possible by extracting the maps and merging the campaign data into them. I've tested "The Last Guardian" and it worked. Could you test the tool and tell me if you find any problems?

    I've fixed it. There was a problem with parsing the import paths of the Intro map. For some reason, when you save a map, certain assets are delimited by 'CR' ('\r'), but sometimes other characters are placed instead, which aren't recognized by the parser I am using. I've managed to split "LotC300b1.w3n", and I have updated the jars.

    I tried it on my private LotC300.w3n; it seems not all files are re-imported correctly. i.e. the OrcSpeathrower.mdx from Chapter 6 is missing.

    If your program is trying to change all war3campImported to war3mapImported, I would highly advise against it, because paths in the object editor will be messed up (unless you have some other solution for that).

    Will look into that. Campaign imports will keep their path intact. Whether it is war3campImported or a custom path, so that's not the problem.

    Edit: I found the problem. The OrcSpearThrower models are placed inside war3campImported, but the import list file lists them like this:

    which I interpreted as them being in the root of the archive. I think the BS symbol (Backspace) means that it is in the campaign path, so I'll have to replace each Backspace symbol with "war3campImported\" before parsing.

    Edit: Fixed that now.
    I literally ran through your campaign in a single day so much it was amazing. The dialog is ON POINT and everything is just perfect. You're talented.

    I got that idea where the perfect voice lines should be Shen from League of Legends for good reason, Shen and Rhonin played by same voice actor (Keith Silverstein).

    That's a shame! Apparently, this campaign is not heavily protected so I opened it, but not vandalize adjusted only Rhonin audio lines converted Shen. That's all!
    Edit: BTW! I only played campaign myself with Rhonin (Shen) unique audio lines.

    Yes, I updated DotD over a year ago to 3.0 and remade many maps from the ground up. I also updated TLG with many significant changes, although it the version only jumpled from 2.1 to 2.2.

    Sorry to say I lost interest in the Orcs and Human Remake, but I will be working on my new/old Campaign since I do own Reforged now so I don't have to worry about a lot of stuff...

    You can say it's much easier getting at the Resources and don't have to use skins from the old game, since the new models from Reforged look so much better and such...

    So yeah...

    And how are you by the way Outsider?
    Have any plans to make your Campaigns playable in Warcraft III Reforged or not planning that?

    Too bad about the Orcs and Humand remake... I would like to make Reforged versions of my campaigns, but transferring object data from campaigns to maps is not easy. I would have to replace every single unit/item/doodad/etc on the map and in the triggers.

    I will probably wait for proper custom campaign support until I do anything. Until then I can just collect custom resources that would fit my campaigns.
