Fortune Telling
For many centuries and years we have heard about fortune telling that range between Tarot, palm reading, crystal ball and many mores.
However, the question was. How did all this get started from? How accurate it was? Is there a way to back this up with scientific report?

I think fortune telling can be traced back to the Ancient tribal ages, but just like today, it was all about the power and position hunger. You know, these shamans drugged their tribal leaders who immediately gave them their right hand position because they believed these shamans are supernatural beings.
I have no idea what the crystal ball, palm readings or all these shits came from, it's a mistery just like who built the first fence or who was the first to dress up, etc. It's all about money and abuse, history is not pre-written. If it was, then excistence and free will wouldn't make much sense, would it?
Since it's all faking, you can't decide how accurate or effective this thing is.

A lot of it is just logic. I mean, if you're a businessman and the economy is going up, a fortune teller can say "You're going to make a lot of money soon" and it will, most likely, come true.

There is some truth in 'whats your sign' I find.
Well..at least my sign fits me quite well anyway...
Though alot of it is just random guess, with a touch of logic, and a show for the peanuts in the gallery.

You got the expression wrong. It's "the peanut gallery", and it refers to where, in the early 1900s, black people would sit in the movie theater because of segregation.
Anyhoo, most of the time, before a fortune teller will give you your sign, they will ask you some key things about yourself.

I used to do tarot cards. I've forgotten what almost all of the cards mean by now though. :P
One thing that makes them seem to "work" is because each card has a wide range of meanings. So you can apply any card to any situation and it'll still make sense if you use a logical meaning.
They're also good to use as a way to "step back" and try looking at things from a different angle.
Heh, I could probably still do them if I pull out one of those handbooks. They're not that hard to do; you just need a problem-solving and creative mind.

I daydreams, and foresight.
I use my mind to simulate, and extrapolate an outcome, which I find is much easier in a daydream.

It was strange as where did all this come off all the sudden. If I remember correctly, there is a fortune telling by reading the bump at the head.

Since we cannot see the future, we might as well call it free will, though some might be averse to doing so.

What I am about to say is based on real event, and has evidence:
My aunt, 5 years before mine, and 1 year before my brothers birth that was 1985 had visited a fortune teller. Just for fun.
The teller predicted us having allergy problems. She predicted me having sinus problems, and my brother having back problems. She also predicted that our births will revolve around some important mathematical numbers, giving the both of us good math knowledge. I was borned on 13. 4, mix them up and you get: 3.14, my brother was borned on 14. 3, equals 3.14. We both are good at math and such subjects. We have the problems she mentioned.
Now you decide what a possibility that is...

The future is an odd thing...
You can see what things are...things that were...and things that may yet come to pass...But even the wisest cannot see all ends of the road.

What happened to my post in this thread? Sumtin eeted it! D:
Aside from bounty hunter2's previous anecdote, the majority of fortune telling is based upon vague first descriptions. The fortune-teller infers other information from the person's response (answer, voice pitch, body language, etc.). Anyways, being born on 14.3 (3.14 in America) is interesting, but 13.4 is just stupid. The problems are also both vague and wide-spread. It's oddly specific, but completely plausible as just a guess on the fortune-teller's part.
