Supreme Commander 1 and 2 both have nukes as part of the standard game. They are known as "Strategic Missiles". Do not let the name fool you as they are ICBMs with nuclear warheads. They explode with a huge boom and kill stuff in huge areas. Especially from Supreme Commander 1 expansion the experimental strategic missile of the Seraphim goes even bigger boom.

If that is not your taste you can got for a classic RTS game like Empire Earth where nukes come in the form of nuclear bombers. Better still these bombers can drop infinite nukes once built for more carnage, but only 1 nuke drop per flight per bomber, after which they need to land, repair and take off again to drop another. The empire earth art of conquest expansion added ICBMs as one of the race perks which are high powered one time usage nukes. Nukes are only available from World War 2 epoch and later, with ICBMs needing the Digital Age.

Empire Dawn of the Modern World also has nukes however this time they are limited to only 2 factions. Germany has V2 rockets which are for all purposes the ICBMs from Empire Earth expansion. United States of America have Flying Fortresses which for all purposes are the nuclear bombers from Empire Earth. Both are only available once reaching the World War 2 epoch.

command and conquer generals i am tired of. i have not found any nukes in supreme commander 2 but, i did not play the expansion of supreme commander 1 much. the nukes in starcraft 2 is too weak. real war have good nukes but i am unable to get multiplayer working. the resource systems also works badly in modern systems. maybe you could help me fix that.

You must have played with strategic missiles disabled then. As I mentioned, they are strategic missiles which are equivalent to nuclear ICBMs. You need to tech them first for them to be available, and they are disabled early in the campaign for balance purposes.

the resource systems also works badly in modern systems
Only performance problems I have with SC2 resource system is if you get dozens of harvesters onto a single editor modified crystal it seems to use excessive resource. With the standard 3 per mineral patch this is no issue.

If you want nuclear war I can only recommend Empire Earth 1 and Empires Dawn of the Modern World. Both have access to nuclear bombers which once built can drop them for free infinitely (but only 1 per flight, they can still make infinite flights without extra cost as long as they are not shot down).

For the best "Boom for the Buck" gaming experience, I would suggest playing as Harkonnen in Westwood Studios' Dune II. Death Hand is so very much effective sometimes...

For multiplayer skirmishes, you might want to check out Dune 2: The Golden Path. Never tried it myself. Current version is 1.1.25.

For (re)playing the whole solo campaigns, plus some 3rd party mods, I suggest using Dune Dynasty. I replayed the whole game with it last summer. O the shameful joys of wanton destruction...

Requires the original game's data from Dune II v1.07 EU

Additional, third party fixes since the last official patch (1.07) :

https://forum.dune2k.com/topic/24316-dune-dynasty/#comment-375761 (animations restore fix for some buildings ; very optional imho)

Better play in English with subtitles enabled (=> better game intro imho)

Dune Dynasty allows to play the Dune 2 eXtended Mod. It has Mercenaries / Fremen / Sardaukar campaigns, but is *still* very incomplete atm.

Personally, I simply use FluidSynth with the FluidR3 GM.sf2 SoundFont

Additional notes for French users

http://forum.dune2k.com/topic/23786-different-versions-amipc1017useuhs/

" There's also a [1.07] demo version [...] on the Legend of Kyrandia CD. It [...] has the French language files from an even later date, with different, better quality speech files made by a different speaker. "

=> one may want to experiment with the pak files (dune.pak, and language files) from this specific, very elusive, version of the game's demo (dune2_demo_ky.zip, or dune2_demo_ky_installer.zip)
