Not really awesome, it just shows you that you desire the hive to become a clusterfuck due to your completely ignorant and lazy decision.

What's pointless is your post about saying how useless these threads are. If you do not like a job, and wish to quit, it is not being lazy or ignorant, it is making a mature decision. Especially on THW. If they don't want to be doing their jobs, then their execution will be piss poor, much like your attitude.
If they want to quit, that is their perogative, and it is much better than having a lazy moderator in service. This gives other users a chance to prove themselves and hopefully better the Hive.
@Rising_Dusk: Well, I have noticed that during this times, the staff has taken it upon themselves to just squelch any opinions that could potentially change things.

They censored it because they felt your opinions were shit and decided to discuss this in the Mod Lobby instead, where Ash can't see his own thread.

I disagree. So far, there have been a number of true and important and relevant ideas posted. I can't say I agree with everything, but many things have been pointed out that are definitely right and in need of change.
Yet why did the post go to the mod forum only, you ask?
- It was addressed to the moderators and staff, and relevant to them.
- Many people here have shown time and time again (even staff, even us administrators!) that discussing things rampantly in large groups without some semblance of order rarely accomplishes anything productive.
In other times and other situations, perhaps Ash's post would have remained in the public eye. But right now? Well, you may look at many other discussion threads on recent similar topics and try to ascertain the important/true/logical points in them. Try to take a guess what percentage of the posts in those threads contain truly helpful information; the percentage tends to be smaller and harder to find.
If you disagree with this, so be it. You are welcome to disagree. However, in my shoes I guarantee you would see the gravity of this and how difficult such situations can be.
Thanks for your continued support. Please Hive responsibly.

Sort of ruins the point of site discussion in the first place, doesn't it?
A more valid reasoning would be "criticism of other users is best handled in a more controlled environment", which I guess I could accept.

I agree totally. Public discussions on things like this do cause a lot of spam. Sorry again for the harsh response earlier, I didn't know you had moved the posts instead of deleting them (because I can't see the moderator forums :P)

Nor can I.
I was informed, but my efforts at actually being able to see my post have been, as of yet, fruitless.

I requested mine taken down two days ago for this reason, but for whatever reason it wasn't (I assume since it's closed already? I don't know...).
Anyhow, Samuraid does have a point in that my thread turned into 5 pages of unproductivity and then filled with spam to the point of needing a close.

So keep everyone from knowing what's going on with the site's staff because a few people are incompetent, claim they want to stay on-topic, and then drive it further into oblivion. This is a site discussion forum, if people are not allowed to discuss the site because some idiots send it off-topic, there's a serious problem. Really, isn't this supposed to be moderated? Why can't OT posts just get deleted? No harm done!

I think the problem is that pretty much no one stays on topic, but yes, it should preferably control discussion rather than toss it in the can altogether.

Funny how intelligent users get totally blocked from giving their criticism towards the staff.
It's times like this that I'm happy people like Hakeem and MSBB became mods in the first place. That way the voice of reason, though weak, stands. Or so I hope.
See ya Ash, stop by Skype/Hivechat/TS at any time. You know I'll probably be there ;)
