Redirecting ads at homepage
What the hell is this? Sometimes when I click a link from the homepage (forums, icons, maps, etc) I will get an ad REDIRECT, not popup, which makes me wait 15 seconds to proceed or have to type in the address again (or click the bookmark).
It's not THAT bad, but it really is kinda annoying when you get a lot of them.
Example (one particularly annoying ad, I mean, if you're going to get ads at least don't make them "classmates" ads. there aren't any 60 year olds looking back at their class of 1970 at this site...)

90% chance that this is caused by adware or other nasty pieces of software (malware or something) that have embeded themselves in your PC. Run a virus scan and se if it fixes up.
I for one have never had any of these problems.

No, it is not. It happens only on this site and it happens to me on every computer I visit from. Even the school comps which any changes made are reverted back at the restart.

Yeah it's not adware. It only happens here at hive, and only when I navigate from the homepage to resources, chat or forums.
It's getting really annoying now ▬__▬

Im going to have to agree with void on this. Its quite annoying and Im very sure its only on THW. Ive seen other websites that have ads like this but its specific to certain sites.

I always thought this was intentional and a direct result of the ads to 'keep the site alive'. I've always gotten these ads, fairly consistently too.
It happens when you're on the 'news' page and then click the 'forums' tab at the top of the screen. You have to refresh the news page a few times and keep clicking the forum tab to incite it to happen, but it will. It's always the classmates ad, too. Additionally, I can only seem to recreate it once per ip per log-in.

The messages changes each 10 seconds, so read them well.

I got these fairly often when I switched to Chrome, but after a week or two I didn't see them any more. Same thing when I upgraded to FF3.

I had annoying "Sterling" Adds, whenever i went on Hive, for the first 3 weeks.
Then i ran a Virus scan and found 73 Trojan Horses :D
Deleted them, restarted, ran another one, none found, and still Adds.
But now they are gone :D

These happen to me too. Somtimes, it occurs every other day, then others, it doesnt happen for several months. Strange >.>
