Shinobi is a Platformer that places you in the shoes of Hotsuma, leader of the extinct Oboro Ninja Clan. Hellspawn, or demons from hell have been appearing due to the cause of a self-proclaimed "Sorcerer." However, The Sorcerer ressurects Hotsuma's clan to destroy him. Armed with an arsenal of shuriken, ninja magic, and a Cursed Blade that devours souls, Hotsuma is the only hope for the world.
The Characters:
Hotsuma
The main character and protagonist of the game, leader of the extinct Oboro Clan, Hotsuma is the one thing standing between the Sorcerer and the Apocalypse.
Ageha
A childhood friend of Hotsuma's. She, Hotsuma and his brother Moritsune, would play together as children, she seemingly ran away after Moritsune died. She will occasionally help Hotuma, but is there to her actions than meets the eye?
Moritsune
Hotsuma's brother, who was killed at Hotsuma's hand in a duel for leadership of the Oboro Clan.
There are plenty more characters to be revealed, but you'll just have to try the game out to find out who they are.
Well that's the base of it, if I revealed anymore it would be a huge spoiler, but I can go on a bit more.
Difficulties.
This game is incredibly hard, even for an M game, there are three difficulties; Normal, Hard, and Super, allow me to give the correct translations...
Normal - OMG!!! WTF IS THIS!!!???!?! THAT'S A LOAD OF CRAP!!!! HE WAS SO DEAD!!!
Hard - GIOEHOAHD:A:JFPA:"APO!?!?!?
Super - *Chucks PS2 out the window.*
The game is very fast-paced and entertaining, definitley worth a look into, however, I suggest renting the game before buying it. As this game is NOT recommened for the impatient and those with a short fuse.
