Pretty much a standard AoS, although aesthetically the sides will be VERY different, one side shooting bullets and rockets and the other hurling fireballs and bolts of frost.
Also, there will be an Apocalypse (or Armageddon, haven't decided yet) timer, set to, say, half an hour. When it expires, the technological side starts launching nuclear missiles randomly onto the battlefield, and the magical side starts calling meteors down from the sky. There'll be a visual indicator for, say, 6 seconds before the missile/meteor hits, and if it does it will do some obscene amount of damage (instant-kill for all but the toughest of heroes) and probably damage over time too. I should note that the missiles and meteors can't hit bases, just the landscape in between.
Thoughts so far? I haven't started yet, not even sure if I will. I'd attempt to make only 1 tavern full of heroes for each side and make items beneficial but not to the degree that they make your in-borne abilities obsolete.

I can dig it.
I thought about this a while back, But didn't have the patience to keep it up.
DO you have anb AoS template to start it on?
The Spawns/Attack to are pretty simple (Make sure they're leak free)
The Armageddon is pretty simple. (Make sure its leak free)
I'd like to point out want anderf is saying also.
You can make this a series, start with this one just because its easy and simple, to get your name out there.
Also...
Items and Basic Abilities....
Items = Mechanical
Basic Abilities = Magical
There can be a hint of magic and mechanical in everything.
Items that were blessed are in themselves magical machines.
While rocket spells needed to be created by someone... and the reason why that person is smart enough to do that is left to chance... And theres a chance, that that chance, was magical in reason.
Basically what I'm saying is to make the Items more like machines oriented to certain things.
Example- Rocket (Fire a rocket that deals damage in an area)
While Making the basic abilities seem more magical yet may still be more oriented towards mechanics.
-Brilliant mind-Engineering Upgrade
-STOP!-Order units to stop. Particularly effective against troops and spells that are channeling.
But forget about that for now (If you even read it lulz), you're probably better off focusing more on the map... if you still even want to make it.
I would help you out, but my computers broken.
But this map is an awesome one nonetheless....
Good luck. If you need something like motivation or need help with triggers, just ask me or anderf or someone....
