Some good Ideas...
Hey, if anyone needs a coolio sci fi themed map, Ender's Game, a book, is a good one...Anyways, if your too lazy to read the book, and just dont wanna go look up what its about, here it is.
A 6 year old kid gets a monitor, which basically watches him, and then it gets ripped off. The kids a genious, and has an evil older brother. The military comes and picks up The 6 year old kid (ender) and tells him hes gonna be a soldier, to fight in the upcoming 3rd invasion of the buggers (aliens) So he goes to Battle School, where he learns to be a soldier. After getting out of his Launchy group, he moves through several armys and plays a game which cosists of little kids shooting eachother with lasers and trying not to get hit. If they do get hit, they get frozen. After doing this for a while, he gets his own army, and since the government wants this kid to be amazing, they make it really hard by setting him up with unfair odds. In the end, he goes to command school, and plays another game. This game has blinking lights (ships) that are fighting the buggers. The goal is to kill the buggers. Eventually, his final test has a 10,000 buggers to his 80 ships. theres also a planet, he ends up shooting the planet with a bomb, and wipes out all bugger existance. He then finds out he was actually commaning the 3rd invasion, and he destroyed an entire race. He then becomes a person who goes to the bugger homeworld so humans inhabit it. He then finds an egg of a bugger queen. He takes the queen through the galaxy and looks for a place for it to stay. the end.
Another idea, Redwall.
About lil forest creatures that kill eachother. An evil rat, named Cluny attacks Redwall which is actually an Abbey, but a warrior, named Matthias finds the sword and shield of Martin the warrior and kills cluny. The redwallers fend off cluny as Matthias searches for the sword. This could be a defence and RPG map at the same time, posing 2 threats to the player, which would be 2 times as hard...
