Why all the furry hatred?

Two things.

1. Were not 5 anymore so we dont pretend to be animals.

2. Furries wouldnt be stupid if every Furry didnt flaunt it. Its just like homosexuality. I dont dislike homos i only dislike the way they flaunt it.

You must have expected to get shit thrown in your face when you pretend to be a Dragon. Of course your going to get ridiculed, if your really wondering why so much hatred, then your obviously not in tune with the rest of the world.

This thread has been dead for over a month. I wish it could have stayed that way.

Aye, me too. I don't care about furries, tbh. They just don't matter to me any more or any less than anyone else. If they're a nice person, that's great, if they're a douchebag, so be it.

Not all furries flaunt the fact that they are furries, but the ones that do flaunt it act like all the others do too. It's not just that people assume, but those furries really act like it.

There's a large difference between pretending to be something for fun and acting like it for serious.

Generally, yes. They're trying to make themselves look bigger than they really are. They're not exactly poor, but they're usually not as close to rich as anyone would think.

Okay, I'll say it again. The furry hatred is a lie.

Notice how there wasn't a "Do you hate furries?" thread first? No, don't ask if people hate furries, let's just assume they do. Furries are not hated. As was stated in the the first post,

Most normal, hard-working people don't even know what the hell a furry is.

Actually you don't NEED a thread for "do you hate furies" to know lots of people do, its was said out loud many times in the chatroom whenever Py and wulf tried to talk about it. (and behind their backs too, calling them sick people, for starters.)

Face it, people hate furies. and most have a good reason to do so. the furry community in general is a very small, yet very loud one. it louder then many groups who are over dozens of times bigger then they are, and they boast a set of very disgusting features, many focus themselves on pushing on the part that disgusts people most (aka yiff.)

The furies could have avoided it all, if they were jest a quite, self-communicating group, but once you go with ideals that go against what many stand for, and do it like you own the world, even if only a few does it, the group gets hated. and with furies its worse because many actually are the pushy type, and many others are too casual about it and don't realize that most people might find it offensive.

So, in general, furies brought it upon themselves with their outburst of "respect me you fascist" method of getting attention. people don't like to be called oppressors by people they hardly knew that existed.

You talk as if all furries are like that, no they arnt at all. As i said, there extremists,idiots and people with the wrong definition of the furryfandom in all groups/fandoms and stereotypes. Some people simply take it too far like emos for example, some people decide to make it about slitting your wrists and BANG there goes the fashion sense into some sort of dark suicidal sub culture.
I for one do not represent the dark side of the furry fandom, I may have some qualities of them which i keep in my own private life but i am not the majority that fluent their sick fetishes around. I try to take the reasonable approach from now on and if i do have anything to do with this "yiff" content you speak of I treat it like an extension or external but joined source of the fandom rather than it being a direct material which represent the fandom itself.

As for people bad talking furries in chat when me and py are present i dont mind at all on nearly all parts of it. I put up with it fine but Pyritie still doesnt seem to understand, but if people get the wrong definition of the furry fandom or furries then i simply try to educate them so their opinions arnt bias. People can have their opinions and reasons, and a little "furfag" here and there and a "yiff in hell" doesnt bother me at all. I understand people get the wrong impression and are afraid of whats different. For I can either accept it for me joining a fandom whose reputation is overblown by the media (yes, newspapers and TV) or I can leave the fandom. I do not complain as if the furry fandom is the new black or the new homosexuality.

What I really dislike about some furries is the lifestylers that ruin it. They take it too far by wearing suits and tails in public (no convention etc purposes) and talking upon animal mannerisms for the fun of it. They think its fine, but really is no different from harry potter fans walkin around the streets with wizard robes and hats riding on broom sticks and using wands as exotic wavy sex toys.

I however myself love to criticize the furry fandom and point out is flaws as it teaches those in the fandom what to improve on and what not to be ignorant about. The whole furries fluenting around their scat or butt crush fetish really annoy me...ALOT and the ones crying when someone calls them a furfag as if its racism or a hate crime...REALLLLYYY piss me off. Anyway, thats my little talk yeah.

Boomwolf, people call Wulf sick for different reasons than that she is a furry (no offense, Wulf).

Wulf, of course you don't represent the side of furries that people hate. You share, but you don't share too much or too fast, and, most importantly, you know how not to share. Everyone is allowed to have as many disgusting, awesome, backwards, forwards, whatever fetishes as they want as long as they can keep them to themselves. The furries that get all the attention are getting it because they aren't keeping to themselves, usually by sticking their disgusting fetish porn where other peoples' disgusting fetish porn was first.

Its mostly about that. most people forgot/forgave her emo times. actually most people liked her because she had a "developing personality", like a good book character. (sorry wulf, that's simply true...)

In any case, furries are now hated. if you can't handle it then sucks to be you.

On the bright side, as a jew I can now sympathize with you for the whole freaking world hating you. (even that I am atheist, I am considered jew by race...that makes no sense does it? thought so.)

I like most furries...its just the poser flaunters who I despise.

I think that everyone here can safely agree that extremists of any fandom are fucked up and it will be that way for any fandom that ever comes up. I guess we just have to live with the fact that there are messed up people in this world, and just ignore them.

As for this thread, I think it can finish now, because if you look back 5 pages the discussion is still the same "I don't mind furries but the extreme ones are fucked up". We aren't going anywhere with this.
