Say
I was wondering how you see God(that is, if you see him/her)? As a universal goodness taking care of everything? As an old man walking around? As a strict entity closely watching our every move? Just write your vision if you feel like it.
p.s.
Try not to turn this into tossing petty insults at each other.

well, God, like most people; while technically not a person, would probably only want to to live fast and die young. he or she is probably just as overwhelmed by everything, i mean being in charge of all creation, as we are overwhelmed by all the crazy shit we have to deal with everyday, but what else can we do? Get jobs in offices, and wake up for the morning commute? i dont think God really gets that choice. having to manage all that exists, i doubt its easy; God is like the biggest celebrity ever, always being questioned, called apon and bothered. i could imagine a very stressed person who wants a vacation, and is probably just keeping things in check. no one wants to do more than they have to, God is probably quite happy to let us make our own decisions and the result of those decisions is our responsibility. anyways God has help, in everyone of us there is goodness, assuming God is good, and we are not small children who need their hands held, we are capable of making our own choice and maybe God is happy to let us do that; i think God deserves a bit of time to relax, it must be tiring making everything that exists and managing it for 5000 years.
i have always disliked the idea of God being all powerful and humans being weak sheep that need to be lead through the darkness, if we were made in Gods image, maybe we were made to make our own destiny too.

I've always liked the thought that God created us and then abandoned us long ago to fend for ourselves. It would explain why there was so much communication with God back in the day and there is none now.
But you can never be sure, maybe we were created by random chance, maybe God made us all just like the Bible says. Who knows?

Being the only thing in the universe would make everything you omnipotent and omniscient.
Making everything else was easier than you could possibly imagine.
Let's hear yours, Volvox.

God to me isnt a person, he isnt a being or some stupid person in the clouds waving his hand around and zapping things. Why? Because any being with power will be bias and corrupt no matter what fancy crap they preach. A god like this makes me angry and full of rage, bias to people like me and only accepting this or that.
I prefer to see god as more of force when not seen as a being deity. A force that is fate and all the things so intangible but important that make up our lives, a force that is life and death, very important things and beautiful things. Although, i wouldn't exactly call that force God, something more...important than that, but its a second dish on my view of this "God" thing.

I declare as christian but the church itself means very little to me. I think people tend to explain and organize things that are not meant to be organized, such as God's laws for example. Some things, you just can't define. That's why i dislike the whole idea of the church with all those strict rules and regulations. I prefer understanding God as an ultimate soul in which we all live. The way he/she manifests is hmm... Blurry. That's my humble opinion :D

I am not atheist, I just think that in all logic a being like the bible's God just physically could not exist. But, the world has many undiscovered surprises and we learn new things about what is "physically possible" every day. So I'm going to stay open-minded until I find out myself.

You can never really define God. You can see him as a deity who created us all, but God isn't something you can percept. He is more like etheral, and allmighty...

Everybody's acting like we can do anything and it don't matter what we do. Maybe we gotta be extra careful because maybe it matters more than we even know.

I am a Christian.
I believe that god is within us, if we believe in him. He gives us what we need to do what we were here for in the first place.
Other than that, if you don't really view things in such a way, I feel religion and gods are invented for false hope (like praying for things when all hope is gone or you are just too lazy to be bothered to try and change things yourself) and for things that couldn't be explained in the past because science didn't exist.
Then again, since when is science true? It's just the way man views the world.

Science is always true, or else it would be a breach of procedure and not true science. For example, gravity is still just a theory, because we have no way of actually proving how it works, just that we fall to the ground. Before anybody says anything about evolution, evolution is a concept defined by science. The concept of evolution itself is not science, just a possible conclusion inferred from science.
Anyways, my view on God is that while S/He/It may not necessarily care, S/He/It probably exists. Think about the big bang: One itty spec of energy exploding into the universe. That sounds like an act of God to me.

Actually the theory of the big bang says that the tiny spec of energy contained infinite density of matter and infinite quantity of energy... But that is equally impossible as your version so nvm.
