Yus, though, remember that Carmina Burana was not very "classic" music back then. It was sort of revolutionary.

I doubt people explicitly think opera is gay or something so direct. I myself am not keen on that type of music but i do like gothic rock and symphony metal(Nightwish, Within Temptation etc) which has some transformed elements of opera. If you are to go into details, you can find a bit of one genre in every other.

I like classical. Opra I don't tend to like, besides Ave Maria, which is amazing. O Fortuna is amazing as well.
But O Fortuna is more Gregorian than opera.
I can listen to almost any music, and even if I can't listen to it I can still appreciate it if it's well made. Ir's the crappy artists that I can't stand.

I find Ave Maria somewhat boring, since I grew up listening to that...

Operatic singers in metal bands is great.
Queen's singer was an opera singer, sure he was actually gay, but that's beside the point. I think by "gay" you mean either sissy or feminine.
However, opera by itself is somewhat... boring.

No, Queen's singer was definetly a homosexual. And no one else could have done what he did because of it. Freddy Mercury did amazing things.

He was homosexual.
And their love for opera made many cool songs, like Bohemian Rhapsody, wich was supposed to be an opera-like/rock song.

As far as I know he had a wife for a while, then started having an affair with some producer or something (a dude obviously), and then pretty much stayed gay after that.

I said in my post that he was gay. What I meant was, I think what the starter of this topic meant by gay was sissy or feminine, because not all gays are that way.

By "Gay" I referred not the fact that one is homosexual, but more the adjective Gay, like something is sissy or feminime, like ~Void~ just said.
